A popular 90s book series by Author R.L Stine book series Goosebumps gets rewritten and parts edited. Of course the author has come out stated that he has not made any new recent changes to the books expect the few edits in 2018.

Despite the leaked claims that the book series had being rewritten.

Why do books, parts of the books need to be rewritten and edited for the Western Audience?

How about the wholesale censorship of entire books and authors in your home country of China?
I am guessing you must be completley horrified by that particular reality..

Funny isn't it that the recent phase of altering books in the free world is only pushed by radical lefists and communists-unless its the pornographic books put in childrens schools which the right want banned,but the radical left want children to be exposed to.
