It really is a scam, I've paid hundreds of thousands into it in the years when I needed that money

Whenever "policy makers" throw around words like "reform", "giving tools", and "bipartisan" you know that whatever else they say, they are talking about screwing over the peasant class.

Truth.

You know, all those trillions we dumped in the sand in Iraq and Afghanistan would have kept SS solvent for 50 years.

and that is just one (1) place they could have used the money. I remember back in high school when I read the article that they had spent money on researching why monkeys fart. They have always spent all our money, then act like it would just break the poor wittle guvment's heart to have to give one penny to those in usa who need financial assistance due to hard times.

When there was more value on life, pushing out the retirement age was a good sign as things where improving with better health care and standards of living, people where getting fitter, living longer and capable to do more with their life.

But as profits in illness rose, economic forces pushed for life long treatments over short term cures. The long term data on new medications takes a long time to find it.

The average retirement age is the point when 50% of that generation has had enough. Like a tired, old, rusty car, it might get you to the shops if you are careful with it. Put your foot down and give it a good thrashing and next stop is the wreckers.

A more realistic approach to the retirement issues does need a case by case basis. Some jobs will wreak your body or mind a lot quicker than others. As the disability rates increase, more are reaching retirement at younger ages.

If there is some economic force than can help those stuck in their short term win look at the bigger picture, the managers of these retirement funds have a part to play. When seeing how this game has been going, they look on back foot and more exploited.

Then maybe it is just all just part of the plan as a policy of eugenics is present in the globalist culture.

We need to take away all politicians " get out of jail free" card and hold their feet to the fire.

I did look at that job with the last election here. Firstly, not knowing what I was doing I was crap at it. I did get a little better and found it a very schizophrenic role to be in with so many conflicting views around. In some ways I can see the forces that made Hillary step back from any moral judgement and just let the highest bidder dictate policy, if capitalism was the answer then this should work.

We do have some good politicians here, the entrenched bureaucracy moves slow and has its own interests at times. We also have some other politicians still yet to wake up. With how Sarah Hanson-Young handled the last covid inquiry, that red pill is going to hurt her.

www.mercatus.org... h/data-visualizations/how-many-workers-pay-benefits-each-social-security-retiree

Over its lifetime, the Social Security program has gone from having an abundance of workers per retiree to having fewer than three workers per retiree.

It was a Ponzi scheme then and it still is now. Like most schemes, the chickens are now coming home to roost. Birthrates are dropping and the ratio of young to old makes SSI unsustainable. That's why the democrooks have opened the borders, letting in working age to supplement this aging population.

Maybe 15 years ago I did my best to "dive" into the social security debate, because this rhetoric has been going on for decades. What I found, or more appropriately did not find, was that there is no such thing as a "social security fund". Of course it cannot be proven or disproven, which is exactly the way our politicians like it.
So the social security payments come from the tax revenue generated.
So I agree, it is just a ponzi scheme.
Someone should try to find out more about this "social security fund" becsuse to date there is no evidence it actually exists.

It's almost as if the GOP wants to lose elections.

What I believe is irrelevant. What the senior citizens of this nation believe is all that matters.

republicans Keep electing people like George Santos and see where that leads!

It's all in non-negotiable treasuries. Congress redeems these non-negotiables when and as needed.

Do you have a link? I would love to see it.
are you saying that is the "social security fund"?
or are you saying it's just tax revenue?
I could never find any proof of a specific fund dedicated to social security, just a way to get people riled up in my opinion. It sounds like we're saying the same thing.
