It is impossible to brush aside all abduction cases as those that are on the fringe of sanity. For sure there are some people out there that will claim the bunny rabbit abducted them. But then some of the people reporting abductions are highly intelligent and important people in the community, and even with jobs held at the National Government.
Many of the reported cases share similarities that were not discovered until large studies were performed aggregating the trends, that make zero sense that a group of disparate people would just make up out of the blue.

And parodying our current politics, some of them speak to how we are treating our planet. Why would they be concerned? Are they looking out for our welfare? Or, are they looking out for their investment?

According to Elizondo and those who worked closely with him, they have no idea why they are here.
Elizondo believes there are other government and private entities that do have some idea. But they will never come forward.

As I put forth in the OP, I don't think a special reason is necessary. There could be multiples of entities that may be consuming information on us as we ascend. Some of them may have competing interests, as I postulated in the OP. Some of them may be benign - described as heavenly beings. While some may be diabolical - as described as reptilians. The list of different beings, and the interesting famous stories of Dulce Antartica so on so forth may be true, and some or all of them may be false. But one thing is true, the public Government of the United States is now divulging they are here and we don't know what they are or why they are here.

Sure, some may have bases here. They may have been here since the dawn of time. Just like the Fallen Angels story of the bible maybe? (Some of you will be repelled by that idea)

I think it's reasonable evidence we are being visited by some different or paranormal reality or beings from it.

Precisely what is unknown and some may know but cannot relate it to others, just as Isaac Newton couldn’t explain the scientific truths he discovered to an ordinary nonscientific populace at that time then as he could some people today.

Even today, in some instances, only specialists can truly understand sciences. We all only take on faith in authority. Few of us understand things like particle physics or most scientific theories.

Certainty is elusive and changing.

Even if some ETS showed on the white house lawn tomorrow, that wouldn’t stop not knowing. We would believe based on authority, not personal knowledge. Not to mention the blue beamers.

If an ET was shown on TV, and the Government revealed they had lied for the past 70 years, there would still be people that would claim it was a hoax, a lie, meant to deceive you for some unknown reason. And half of that group would be the ones that support the ET hypothesis in the first place. LOL. What a world we live in.

I believe they are concerned about our planet because they can see what is happening and what we have done to it. Let's not forget how sightings became more numerous during WWII and right afterwards, could that have been only coincidental?
I agree that they have bases here, perhaps underwater so they are not obvious to us. Who knows, they may visit us to store up on something as simple as water or oxygen. They may even be some type of 'guardians of the universe' concerned with our welfare, though that seems hard to believe.
They are also spotted taking soil samples, seemingly. Just as we travel to Mars and the Moon and gather samples.
It is puzzling - Betty and Barney Hill were abducted and examined, and brought back to their car. But Betty said one of the aliens told her they were from a specific solar system, and showed her a 'star map' which she reproduced upon being hypnotized.
But I don't recall any of the abductee cases stating if aliens ever gave them a reason for being here?

That is likely because there are multiples of species that are here covertly studying us, for what end we may never know.
I say multiples, because if one is here watching us it makes as much sense that many are as well.
And if many are, they have different competing agendas.

Why everyone here assume we're still being visited when ET's have been here a long ago probably since the prehistoric times.
they come in a variety of forms or species and technology.
From UFO's crash landing in the 1900's to now they appeared to have mastered at cloaking, hide in the clouds, and dwell in some secret hidden bases deep in the ocean or high up in the mountain.
These particular beings aren't frequent visitors anymore. They settled here a long ago secretly somewhere.

Remember the Phoenix lights incident?
That was a sure visitation from distant travellers.

No shame of barging in, intruding someone's home at night.
I'm sure they were newcomers and as just curious as we're about them.

As far as why they are here watching us even intervening on wars in the past, I think they find our planet special or necessary for their own purpose.

They could be using the earth and the sun as:
1. A repair or charging station.
2. Scientific studies - collecting biological samples for their own advancement.
3. Mine extract stuff for needed resources.
4. Watching and covering our back in case of a nuclear, asteroid or imminent ELE were to occur.
5. Consider or leading us to our far future generation of earthlings as a role capable specie in the galactic level of things.
6. All of the above.

Weeeelllllll.....I could give you here a real oddball reason why aliens would be watching the earth closely.

Ascension.

Put simply the human race is about to undergo a mass ascension event that Christianity calls the Rapture. If they're out there and they are watching they must be aware of such events happening to various beings and planets in the past. And if they know the signs to look for then the gauges on their equipment have the needles buried all the way over to the right.

I think they know what's coming and they wanna watch.

I have always been in the "I Want To Believe" camp.

Now that the Gubmint is lending the full weight of its Credublity to this question (to assert that "Yes, there are UFO's"), I must confess that I am really disappointed. Whatever the highly esteemed leaders of ClownWorld(TM) say, you can only be certain that the actual truth lies in any other direction.

Yes, physics and probability make it extremely likely that life exists elsewhere, and may in fact visit us occasionally. What we've seen (since WWII-ish), however, is that such visitors are apparently shy of the spotlight. I don't see any reason for that behavior to change.

With the Gubmint now saying "Look! UFO's!": rest assured that whatever we are about to witness will be anything other than Alien Visitors. Will they treat us to an air-show of experimental anti-gravity craft they've been developing over the last 70 years? Will it be Holograms? Will it be microwave-induced mass-hallucinations? Who can say? But if they say it's Aliens, we can all rest assured in what it is certainly NOT.

The successive custodians of the Public Trust have done a p*ss-poor-job. At this point, they couldn't tell the actual Truth if all of our lives depended on it. If they were to assert tomorrow, that JFK was assassinated by a cabal of deep-state operatives -- then I would be forced to reconsider the "Lone Gunman" and "Single Bullet" tropes as probably more likely. There are a LOT of NASA video's showing craft entering our atmosphere.
Based on what we know, it is more likely they are traversing space to get here, and not from another ethereal dimension which we have not discovered nor defined yet.

The question you have to ask yourself is whether or not we've ever been able to capture such "craft" and physically examine it. I don't believe that's ever happened. There may be reports about finding "materials" or partial pieces of something they don't understand, but we don't have enough information to know who it belongs to, what it's a bigger part of, or how it got here.

On the other hand, if you believe the Bible, then you know that spirit entities can take on physical manifestations. They can appear and disappear at will as well as take on many temporary shapes and forms. If "aliens" (or even Bigfoot) truly existed in a purely physical form, we would have been able to capture one by now.

The thing is every gadgie and his brother in this day of age pretty much has access to and the capability to capture and record 4K high-definition pictures and video at the flick of the thumb.

Yet actual tangible credible evidence of us being visited by many different ET species remains to be seen.

And the thing is that these vehicles move so quickly that it is difficult to get a good close-up of them.
They move faster than you can blink your eyes, so by the time you pick up your phone and aim, they're gone.
Not as easy as you seem to think.
And there are plenty of photos and videos of strange objects in our skies, way too many to simply dismiss as nothing.

If they are coming here and departing in their ""allegedly"" to quickly moving vehicles, they would have to stop at some point to come out.

Again half decent phone cameras have been around for more than a decade now and in just about everyone's pocket around the globe.

There are plenty of out-of-focus and/or distant images and videos of strange objects in our skies but that's not any sort of tangible proof that we are being visited by many ET species on a regular basis.

We photograph and film just about everything known to man RonnieJersey and yet can't yet muster real proof as to what's being suggested in the thread.

Don't get me wrong i would love Aliens to turn up and say hello but the proof as i have suggested remains to be seen.

And if they are here all the time that should not be hard to provide.

It would be like trying to get a good photo of a meteorite or rocket as they are blazing past in the sky.

No, I'm thinking in terms of smartphones with cameras that capture light from an object, or subject, just like any other and the fact that there are billions of them in use worldwide.

And there are good pictures of meteorites and rockets.




Aliens here on Earth and their vehicles, unfortunately not so much.

As to me understanding if i saw one of their vehicles, that may well turn out to be the case, but that still doesn't answer the reason why nobody to date has managed to take credible footage that unequivocally proves we are being visited by numerous extraterrestrial species.

All of this lore and experiential events about ufos and aliens and the apparent “shyness” or outright refusal to inform us who they are, what they want, or where their from leaves us only in a position to speculate---what in the world is going on?

Even if we know why they're here( and we don’t), we must still know so what are doing about it.

For instance, many speculate, and I have, too, that aliens are here because humans can blow up a part of the solar system.

Therefore, we are being visited by some unknown intelligence that may have to do with something ( a “ god” force or angelic force or some galactic powers) beyond ours to deal with the fact we are not far from massive extinction!

Assume they are such a force. Then, what are they going to do about it?

Conspiratorially and very sinisterly speaking, what if this force has already contacted the world’s PTB and asked them nicely to remove ALL nuclear power, bombs, and devices and outright ban the technology?
And they told them to take a hike…Consequently, we have what we have---ufos all over the place.

That is an awesome storyline for a sci-fi movie.

But a terrible state of affairs for a real-world scenario.

I believe also we are worthy of study because in addition to everything everyone else has already stated, that our solar system is coming up on a 'reset' due to the upcoming solar micronova.

We are a plentiful species now, but that trend is threatened and limited. Get / grab us while you can, ET's from the rest of the galaxy / interdimensions.

We are not going to be as plentiful and easy to harvest in 10-20 years, that is assured.
