So Ukraine having internal conflict with a minority is bad (it is, I agree).

But Russia having the ambition for the erasure of a nation is fine. This is modern day imperialism, and you’re upset an occupied country has a bad taste in their mouth for the Russians.

Personally, I’m not a fan of censorship under any circumstances. Tactfully, it’s just poor judgement as you should know your enemy. But I think we can all understand why someone would have such a response while they’re being invaded.

After all, destroying such things is as much a display of expression as the words written in the texts.

Do I think people should be able to burn the Quran in the US? Yup, as long as they didn’t steal it from someone. Do I think it’s bad form and harmful to their own cause? Sure.

Looks like Russia didn’t learn from recent history. You can’t win wars without hearts and minds. Most of the world disagrees with Russia. They don’t even have a majority of former USSR countries on their side. But sure, the occupier are Nazis for resisting.
