Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former President Donald Trump, and her husband Jared Kushner have been subpoenaed by special counsel Jack Smith, ABC News has learned.

The subpoena for the couple is specifically related to the special counsel's probe of Jan. 6 and the activities leading up to that day by the former president and his allies regarding efforts to overturn the 2020 election, sources told ABC News.

Ivanka Trump and Kushner worked as senior White House advisers to President Trump during his four years in office.

A spokesperson for Ivanka Trump and Kushner did not respond to a request for comment from ABC News.

Unlike Pence they will not be able to claim privilege. (And Pence's privilege claims are shaky at best.) I'm sure investigators will be interested in comparing the testimony they gave to the J6 committee to the testimony they end up giving to the grand jury.

They held those subpoenas as the last counter-move, now the question is there anything left in the arsenal against Biden's and who actually testifies and who doesn't

Complete ratcheting up the pressure move, connecting these dots ain't that difficult.

I'd say somebody has one or the other dead to rights and the other is pushing back for some leniency of punishment a complete fishing trip or just sewing seeds of doubt for 2024 election

Hunter Biden snubs GOP-led House panel’s records request

First son Hunter Biden on Wednesday missed a midnight deadline to provide records about his overseas business interests to the House Oversight Committee — setting the stage for a subpoena and potential legal battle.

A committee spokesperson told The Post that Hunter attorney Abbe Lowell is still refusing to provide the records requested by Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the panel’s chairman.

Similar requests were made by Comer of first brother James Biden and Eric Schwerin, a onetime business associate of Hunter Biden.

The recent subpoenas to Pence, Ivanka, Jared, and Meadows does indicate that the investigation is moving into its final stages. After them, there's not really anyone else to subpoena other than Trump. And Smith probably won't waste the time trying to get Trump on the stand. At least not in the grand jury stage.

Hmm. Well we do know even from the J6 testimony that she states that accepted there was no fraud, and there was testimony that she went and spoke twice with him on the 6th asking him to intervene.

They didn't claim privilege last time they were subpoenaed. Both of them have already given recorded statements. It was already news a while back that Ivanka didn't really stand up for her dad in them. The difference is, Jan 6 panel could not indict anyone, could only recommend charges to the DoJ. The special prosecutor probably has every intention to indict everyone he finds evidence on, that's HIS job.

My question is, if he thought everything said during the Jan6 Panel interviews was accurate and complete and honest... why did he call them back in?

Didn't you pretty much answer your own question?

He wants them to testify in front of a grand jury so their testimony can be used in a possible indictment.

They can also provide a lot of the same information they might get from Pence. So if it looks like Pence is going to drag things out they can just forgo his testimony.

Because recalling them is in response to the squeeze being put on Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Eric Sweringer in thier investigation into the Biden's Family dealings
