Victoria straya police replacing hackable Chinese made cameras

In the crap state of Victoria, surveillance camera Insta led in police stations are being replaced.

Well there is definitely a hackable back door on these units, if there was no issue why spend millions replacing them.

Typical incompetent dan andrews.

Sounds like a reason to upgrade the cameras to something better resolution and increase the accuracy of the recognition.

Unless these cameras are found to have their own network protocols and networking infrastructure, a weak spot of using the internet to direct the digital traffic still exists.

I don't know what real issues these cameras have. But lets say because the where made in China, the CCP have an easy backdoor to dial in and have a look any time.
