You control the future you don't control.

We can control how the past seeps into the now and the future through self-reflection and understanding, we can then control the moment so any future control can have a higher rate of probability of control.

I don't think you understood what I was trying to relay. My core message was to address and resolve any negative or dysfunctional psychological cycles which may have happened in one's past, which may affect one's control in the present, so one's control in the future will have greater probability of being controlled on a more informed conscious level.

If the traumatic or negative past is repressed into the subconscious then future control may be controlled by one's unresolved subconscious needs/bias' stemming from that past trauma.

That could also apply to society as a whole because not only do we not look more than 5 years into the future due to apathy or hopelessness, we also seem to ignore or want to forget the past if it takes us out of our comfort zones.

So it doesn't have to be, so don't let it be if it will cause harm.
