Japan needs American Military. In light of the operational problems the Japan Self-Defense Forces and the U.S. military need to address, a new Ground Self-Defense Force could play a key role in enabling not only Japan’s own joint operations but also bilateral operations with the U.S. military along the first island chain. If Japan legalized prostitution and mandated all sex workers to wear the American army dress uniform, you can have a Potemkin US Army on all the street corners complete with drag queens and questionable behavior.

China would never know the difference.

I believe Japan can defend itself.

The Philippines becomes a warzone again once China decides to seize Taiwan and Philippines will be caught in the Crossfire between China vs Taiwan, US, Japan Alliance.

You must be relating to the Vietnam era War in with the soldiers in Kadena Air Base back then. Wild times . Actually I understand even today it is more wild then when I was stationed there. I cycled Okinawa 2 years ago. But it was dead activity due to Covid.

I believe China might go all in hence the recent active surveillance in American soil.
Probably getting prepped to counter attack US if ever they become a problem.

I would never imagine that China would side with Russia against the rest of the world.
I know it was a long time ago but "funny" how Japan sided with Nazi Germany and attacked China.
Now the roles is reversed, strange humans do not learn from the horrors of the past.

My good Russian friend says China is still their enemy. But they are trying invade east Russia with the Chinese population.
