Active Shooter Michigan State University

Haven't seen any news reports, but the school notified students of an active shooter. To shelter, run, or fight. My daughter is sheltered in place, her boyfriend was called back to work somewhere on campus. Just waiting to hear from him.


So ridiculous. 2 of my daughters have occasional nightmares of being shot at work or school as they grew up with active shooter drills. Only in the U.S. sigh.

At least 2 dead.

Just said a different Hall now, and possibly 2 shooters. Cops on their way now. Was first at Berkeley Hall, now on their way to Phillips Hall where further reports of shooting.

I'm listening to the Lansing Police Scanner. Phillips Hall is where they seem to be right now. Possible two shooters.

Shots first fired at Berkey Hall.

According to initial reports, there are at least five victims, but specific details were not immediately available and there was no official word on the status of the suspect. A large number of emergency services have been called to the scene.

In a statement, MSU Police said: “There have been shots fired near Berkey Hall on the East Lansing campus. Please secure-in-place immediately. Police are active on scene. More information to follow.”

Sadly sounds like there is more than five victims unfortunately. Heard them mention helping a few on the scanner so far.

With so much warm weather, the normal slowdown in Northern U.S. shootings hasn't happened this season.

MSU reports shootings in 2 locations.

Heard on scanner that an individual was seen running with a long gun with a hood up. Could not hear the location.

Did hear early reports of a black male with blue mask as well.

Thanks, just heard her boyfriend is sheltering in the basement of hall he is working at. Both safe so far.

Thanks, scary situation for all involved.

Heard one possible suspect seen walking on one side of campus and the other appears to be limping on the other side of campus, which is across the street from all the restaurants, bars, Target, etc.
