US at DefCon 2?

Getting unconfirmed reports that we are now at Defcon 2. This is getting real serious.

Please post if there are any more official sources. Again, right now this is unconfirmed but something to watch.

If you click on the "home" link on the DEFCON page, it is currently at DEFCON level 3.

You can click on links on the page to reveal different DEFCON levels. Here is DEFCON 1. Following that link does not mean that the US is at DEFCON 1.

... and DEFCON level relates to nuclear response readiness. There has been no threat of the imminent use of nuclear weapons that would necessitate DEFCON 2.

Additionally, you can check for such incidents on RSOE EDIS, or on the Global Incident Map - Presidential Threat.

RSOE EDIS is reporting a cyberattack against the Florida Hospital system and the Chinese Balloon (as 'other' in threats), but no nuclear or millitary related ones.

I doubt it. Last time we went to to 2 was when Desert Shield transitioned to Desert Storm. Our restaurant catered a NAS group’s deployment the week beforehand. While the base was on heightened security, (we could only deliver and pickup, but not serve) things were not that bad as I was waved on base without question at the main gate as though an officer.

Now, I see it. Click on each link and the defcon is at 2 (red) for every entry, except "Space" which is still at Defcon 3.

Anything claiming a DEFCON level is a WAG based on someone throwing darts at a board. The actual DEFCON level is classified, and won’t be on a YouTube channel or website.

I suspect that this is simply a coding issue with this website, and people overreacting to that.

Additionally the 'minutes to midnight' or 'doomsday' clock current time.

Yes! but this is strange...if you hover over the top of the different areas like Europe it will
light up & say Europe, Asia says Indo-Pacific, but USA shows Middle East...WTF?

And yeah when you click on each one they all say DEF CON 2.
