We have video of some sort of smoke trail and explosion over Montana.
Questions of the military shooting down the Chinese balloon but since that no longer over Montana…. No..

Meteor maybe?

www.dailymail.co.uk...

I’ll put up the video when I can…✌️

It seems likely that's what it is , China would have done it sooner.

Was it a balloon!!!

JK!

It seems that there are limits to what we can detect in earth crossing orbits.

But they seem to be small and burn up in the atmosphere so that is better than the dinosaurs fared with their hubristic early warning system!!!

The person who took the video/photo said a jet flew over really fast and a couple minutes later was the smoking debris descending.

If our military is correct, this must be the second balloon that trailed the first one. Our top military brass said the leading balloon was over Kansas earlier today. (They might lie to us...or not be good at geography, due to so much "woke" training.)

Someone outside just happened to be filming the top of their house ?
Daily routine ?
Trust nothing and question everything.

Indeed.

If we are to take this at face value, the video was uploaded at least an hour after sunset CST.

I would guess they were outside and happened to look up and saw a smoke trail then filmed..

If the video is true how come no independent evidence to support it.

Yea it's on the Daily Mail, right the Daily MAIL probably paid 10 grand for that. Im supposed to believe Bilingds has had this balloon over it for 3 days and only one person had a camera

Ignore the "Massive" part of the headline and look at the video... As the filmer says, a jet flew in that direction, then an explosion, and down "it" goes. Probably the second China balloon, unless our military was lying to us about it being over Kansas.

I first saw the video on Twitter.
When I made my post I searched for the story and just used the daily mail site.

Don’t know much more than that.

I kind of wonder, and this idea is just a pondering, if this was supposed to look like an alien invasion but it took a bad turn when people were able to see the actual balloon?

Just playing devils advocate, I want them to shoot it down, just want to be sure

Northern Command coordinating with NASA on debris field if balloon were shot down, official says
From CNN's Haley Britzky

The US Northern Command is coordinating with NASA to determine what the debris field would be if the balloon floating above the United States were to be shot down, according to a defense official.

Here is what just did this pattern currently over Nashville

RC-135U Combat Sent

Mission
The RC-135U Combat Sent provides strategic electronic reconnaissance information to the president, secretary of defense, Department of Defense leaders, and theater commanders. Locating and identifying foreign military land, naval and airborne radar signals, the Combat Sent collects and minutely examines each system, providing strategic analysis for warfighters. Collected data is also stored for further analysis by the joint warfighting and intelligence communities. The Combat Sent deploys worldwide and is employed in peacetime and contingency operations.

Features
All RC-135U aircraft are equipped with an aerial refueling system, giving it an unlimited flying range. Communication equipment includes high frequency, very high frequency, and ultra high frequency radios. The navigation equipment incorporates ground navigation radar, a solid state Doppler system, and an inertial navigation system that merges celestial observations and Global Positioning System data. Although the flight crew stations are similarly configured, the reconnaissance equipment is slightly unique within each airframe.

The aircraft are identified by their distinctive antennae arrays on the "chin" and wing tips, large cheek fairings, and extended tail.

Crew composition includes two pilots, one navigator, two airborne systems engineers, and a minimum of 10 electronic warfare officers, or "Ravens," and six or more electronic, technical, and area specialists.

Background
There are only two Combat Sent aircraft in the Air Force inventory and both are assigned to the 55th Wing at Offutt AFB, Neb. The RC-135U aircraft are manned by Air Combat Command crews from the 45th Reconnaissance Squadron and the 97th Intelligence Squadron (of the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency). The Combat Sent is composed of a wide variety of commercial off-the-shelf and proprietary hardware and software. Its current configuration allows for both manual and automatic analysis of electronic signals. By combining manual systems with the Automatic Electronic Emitter Locating System, Ravens and intelligence specialists can simultaneously locate, identify, and analyze multiple electronic signals

How do you avoid radar detection?
Launch from somewhere close?

Maybe the balloon zapped one of our jets with a solar powered laser.

The balloon is nowhere near Montana anymore. And the second one was reported over Canada, although it hasn't been confirmed. There is a second one confirmed over South America however.

At ten seconds in there is an 'explosion'? If I did not know better I would say it was a EMP pulse. Anyone else? Like something detonated 'after' it was shot down but that contrail is so thick it reminds me of the shuttle launches. Almost like something was being shot towards the ground from the upper atmosphere.

This makes no sense if it is not that balloon unless there are truly other things going on. The person said they heard a jet so was something else intercepted.
