Toronto Gang Prevention with Detective Shawn Geris

We just released the first episode of 2023 on Broken Home Podcast.
This episode has us getting the perspective from a different - from the Laws side.

I sat down with Detective Constable Shawn Geris of the Toronto Police Services Gang Prevention Unit and discussed some of the
initiatives they are conducting in order to mitigate the collateral damage caused by youth gangs.

Shawn Geris was OPP officer Greg Pierzchala's police mentor and wrestling coach.
For those ATS members in Canada, they might recall Greg's name, because he was recently murdered while on duty.

Shawn also heads up the Engage416 program in Toronto, which is a support system designed to assist youth leave the gang life.
