Is there a point in trying to wake people up considering they have access to the internet?

If you notice, the government and private industry have most U.S. citizens on a Treadmill that is made to go a little faster every year.

The effect is to keep most adults focused on staying on their feet, unable to look around, let alone reflect on what's happening in the world.

They see what the news tells them on the TV mounted to the treadmill, but not much else.

As stress builds, more treadmill runners collapse dead, or snap from the stress and do a "California Rampage" on people.

Slowing the treadmill is best solution. But how to accomplish this with minimal destruction in society is the question.

Maybe a good thread subject?

Hmmmm... I think a better question to ask is if anyone should be trying to "wake people up."

The fundamental premise is that you know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and the other person is ignorant/stupid/wrong. And quite frankly, none of us know the whole truth, and none of us are in a position to tell other people what to think/believe.

But even if someone does know the whole truth, and another does not, what right does anyone have to force their knowledge on anyone else? None. People have the right to be ignorant if they so choose.

We have the right and privilege to share our knowledge and opinions with those open to hearing it. That's it.

Those who want knowledge and facts and truth will be open to hearing new information and more information. Those who aren't interested, won't hear no matter how often or how loud they are told.
