He should go into the audience chamber and see what happens when they call the 12th vote for speaker of the house, he might just win it being there.

And the reactions would be epic across America, third in line for the Presidency and running for it.
And winning it on January 6th too, oh that would be so worth it, the ultimate political troll move.

Can you imagine the state of the union address by Biden

Trump already posted this

Probably an insurrection.

Maybe hell get shot by a capital police officer.

Likely worse than 911, pearl harbor and jab 6 combined.

He was officially nominated in the last round of voting and he got a single vote. None of them want him and his physical presence won't change that.

I'm sure Trump would like many votes! ...But he wants absolutely no parts of being Speaker of the House!

Eventually McCarthy will need to drop out; it doesn't mater how many votes you get if you can't close the deal you can't close the deal. Then who will be left that won'ts the Job?

It might actually be a good long term move for establishment Republicans. They know that for the next two years the Democrats and most of the Media is going to blame the house Republicans for everything that goes wrong and/or doesn't get done, dispite house Republicans having no power to set an agenda. Maneuvering Trump into the top positions allows the establishment Republicans to shift that blame onto him, killing two birds with one stone; protection themselves and further hurting their rival.

As I pointed out this morning, a DEAL is pretty much done. It will be put on a website when agreed upon by all, in order for the public to view it and comment, before the BIG VOTE occurs.

As Rep. Kevin McCarthy heads to an astonishing 11th failed attempt to be elected House speaker, reports are emerging that a deal is being struck between the California congressman and the bloc of lawmakers that have kept the gavel out of his hands.

House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) said on Thursday that there’s an agreement in writing that he has been asked to review, according to Punchbowl News.

Anti-McCarthy Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) and pro-McCarthy Rep. Patrick McHenry reportedly negotiated the truce, according to the news outlet.
More at: nypost.com...

The BIG VOTE that matters was supposed to occur on Tuesday January 10th, according to Jim Jordan on FoxNews earlier, but it may be moved up, based on the speed by which McCarthy is agreeing to "Far Right" (as CNN calls it) demands.

Some are already testing the waters with saying it will only be temporary for 100 days, then he could vacate if he wanted, and they would have a new vote, he actually might agree to that, get into the news cycle and troll Biden at the state of union and hang out with Kamala for a bit.

This is a great idea and compromise, I just don't think it will happen.

I remember when he was asked once by a reporter how he was going to help the economy and his answer was “I’m just going to do it”; his delivery facial expressions and hand gestures were pure comedy gold; and Bonus he was helping America to improve with more jobs, lower gas prices.

Man I miss that!

Poor leadership and poor team ethics, being hard on his fellow GOP only further alienates them. This should be an opportunity to elevate morale instead of acting like a disappointed Asian parent.

Why is he not making concessions? What are your thoughts? McCarthy if he wanted unity should have listened earlier because what I am reading is this is not a surprise with how some feel. If he cannot plan a simple majority vote will he be able to get anything done?

How does one "plan" a majority vote?

I should add that WITHOUT endorsement, this could have gone very differently for him. McCarthy didn't need help being appointed to speaker.

He knew this was coming months ago because the GOP was going to take the house. It is just what happens historically and this was close. So, that means either he never reached out to those opposing right now which is not to smart or it is just all theater to give a platform to begin the new session. Just my 2 cents.

To be fair to McCarthy, the opposition to him is more than double what he was anticipating. Going in to the first vote there were only nine definite No's. He thought he would only have to convince a few people to support him, so he was able to be a little more aggressive.

Then the first vote happened and there were nineteen against him.
