So, this isn't strictly Cryptozoology, however I thought it worth posting here.

For me it shows how adaptable wild life can be, and if, ad in this case a fox can survive with only two legs, how well would a fully functioning Tasmanian Tiger or even a Wooly Mammoth get by in the back of beyond.

Saw this earlier and was amazed.

How the heck did a fox survive both hind legs being amputated?

Is it a birth defect?

So many questions.

I wonder if it still gets any fox?

I would hug that cute survivor all day and feed it everything it wants.

In Welling, Kent in the busy high street there is a feeding station for foxes. They are not that scared of folk.

No 2 daughter feeds them in her garden every day.

Very keen on leftover curry.

The foxes, that is.

Huge numbers of green parakeets, too, randomly.

I had a pet fox in the garden a couple of years back, it came every night and got some pork I left out for it.
I put up a webcam to capture all the action, I stopped because I realized not all people in the neighborhood had the same affection for animals in general as I have.

I've noticed that most wildlife is becoming pretty tame these days.

I like to think that it's because they feel safe around us but I suspect that it's because they're desperate for food, sadly. 😢

Our Robins are v tame. Always have been. Nearly got one so close is about to sit on my outstretched finger.

Badgers, not so much.

I'm thinking it's a brith defect, as it seems a wild animal. We're only seeing it because its food source is relatively easy.

Raises the point - if it is a defect/mutation could this make its way into the wider gene pool?

Yep, Robins are indeed brave. Wagtails are also very bold.

They run between our feet during lunch breaks. They're lovely little birds.

As for badgers, I was once taking a poop in the woods and a family of badgers legged it past me just a few feet away. If I wasn't already in the act, they would have scared the crap out of me.

No joke, it was a WTF is that? Moment for sure.

Did the video play for you tonight then?
I've clicked the OP's link, it takes me to the BBC page with description, but just a BBC logo in a box where the video should be...anyone else???

...I've clicked on other vids on the page, which do play, so maybe the dark story of the 2 legged fox is being buried by tptb?!😱🤣

EDIT,
I used a different browser and it worked...OMG THE most amazing thing I've seen of nature surviving, for ages!!!😁😁😁

Good luck to the lil one, proper made me smile tonight...I love my local town foxes, but this one is THE urban survivor!!!❤️
