I'm guessing you're referring to the U.S...but in any event...most nations suffer from the same truth!

To an extent, sure.

However make no mistake. These cretins backstabbed and lied their way to power. Kept that power and use that power to keep that power. And all the money that comes with it.

Our govt is so corrupt that it only attracts the most detestable of humans.

expand the depth of corruption to the entire western world..

the thing is this level of corruption only has a certain life span and we are near the end point where we can start to see the scale of the issue, a starting point is the $80trillion pension hole.. corruption always starts/ends with the pension pots..

the thing is the vulnerable and elderly are still not dying in vast enough numbers to hide that.. its nearly imploded twice in the last couple of months as each rush of printing presses tries to mask the issue to let the corrupt west limp on that bit longer.

Although l feel l see it in a different political map as you all, l truly believe by next May a new national security alert will be called into. You can not have 10 to 45million people getting free food . Martial Law.

I'm sure the solution is in the duopoly.

A convention of states and an amendment requiring the government to spend within its means is a concept beyond most voters.

The uniparty has convinced the populous that the answers to all lie at the voting booth and in the hands of politicians.

the silent side of a number of crises and you find similar issues notably a pensions bailouts, a consistent player has been BlackRock.. which I see as the newest Lehman's.

the thing is we have sailed close to the first domino falling 3 times since September (excluding FTX etc) and it won't be the last, nor can the establishment keeping firefighting.. they'll lose control at some point, and I can't help but feel that'll be by the end of Feb 23..

that coincides with the 100 year cycle of boom/bust new liberal globalism.. if there was a definitive end point to the British Empire it was the demise of new liberal globalism in 1922 and the imperial conference of 1923 confirmed that end point..

we fast approach a new imperial conference led by the USA.. its the same kind of demise we saw the Soviets go through so as it stands the USA is heading for one or the other outcome as none of the rep/dem reforms have changed the outlook or end game..

martial law is at the extreme but we might see a serious divergence of regions, states, countries and blocks as a side effect of unpicking national identities in favour of a meaningless generic western identity many seem to hold.. it'll end up being their unmaking local/state/regional ids take over from national ones.. which is where this feels this is like the fall of the soviets..

Thank you! That also crossed my mind! As we all know from reading ATS posts there are certainly more than a few die-hard party-biased voters.

When there are only 133 million registered voters, yet 159 million votes cast you know the ones counting the votes decide the results, not those who (legally) vote.
