IMO, just goes a fair distance to proving that the uniparty is working just fine.

Please note this isn't the Mud Pit.

Because the Republicans failed to vet their candidate there's a good chance their thin majority will become even thinner if Santos is deemed ineligible to hold office.

What's the procedure for ineligibleizing an Rep-Elect ? 👁️

Failed to vet, or intentionally lied?

Since Donald Trump's Republican party specialise in BS and lies I'm figuring it's the latter! You can be sure they definitely made all that stuff up to improve his chances of winning.

I just hope, for fairness' sake, that the New York Times put the investigative journalism piece about Joe Biden's "alleged" schooling and grades in the same section of their newspaper as this piece appeared. You can't play favorites in that business.

It's the job of his own Party to vet him. The fact that he seemingly doesn't reside at the address he listed certainly calls into question his eligibility to hold office. What if it turns out he doesn't even reside in the district where he was elected?

Actually it's more of a job for the opposing party to vet the opposition. The Dems are probably kicking themselves hard for losing what should have been an easy victory.

Tree NYAG has announced that they are launching an investigation into Santos after even more discrepancies have been raised about his past.

So, Santos has admitted to "embellishing his resume." (His words.) Among other things, Santos has been called out due not having Jewish ancestry despite claiming to be Jewish on the campaign trail. His response was that he actually meant he was Jew-ish.

More interesting is the fact that, despite his claims, Santos was not wealthy. In fact, he was only making ~$50,000 a year and had a history of struggling to make rent payments. So with that being the case, how was he able to loan his campaign $700,000?

Based on an interview he did with Tulsi last night on Fox News, it looks like at least one faction of the GOP are trying to cut bait. Tulsi put the screws to him, called him out on his attempted deflections, and straight out asked, "Have you no shame?"

I was going to say “ you can’t make this stuff up”

But, here we are.

The real dig, other than him being a massive liar about his entire history.
Is that it looks like he’s lying about campaign money. Where it came from when he complained that he was broke.
This is a crime.

Is he also not really named Santos?
Did he receive Russian money for his campaign?

Is he a hologram? Or just a monster from the GOP’s ID (Freudian)?

Actually he isn’t always Santos. He has used the alias Anthony Zabrovsky. I mean it is no Carlos Danger, but Anthony Weiner did six and a half terms as a US Representative of NY so there is that. Same district as Geraldine Ferraro and Chuck Schumer and technically served longer that both of them as Representative.

Brazil has announced that are re-opening a fraud case against Santos from 2008. Apparently the case has been on hold because they could not locate Santos.

He is unlikely to resign, because such an act requires some level of integrity and shame. Qualities he has none of. However, I don't see high odds of this guy getting re-elected in 2024.

A court has ruled that the three parties that helped Santos cover his $500,000 bond will be made public per established law. Santos has until Friday to file an appeal.

A federal judge has upheld this ruling. The identities of Santos' suretors will be revealed at noon on Thursday. The three parties have until that time to decide whether they wish to remain suretors.
