Because Judge Cannon had no legal basis for her original ruling. It just takes a bit for things to get through the appeal process.

Another judge ruled in October that Special Master John Dearie couldn't see the "good stuff" anyway.

Two of the judges that made that ruling also made this ruling. Both were appointed by Trump.

Seems like NPR has/had a pretty good outlook on his ability to judge fairly. I wonder why the sudden dismissal?

As I said above, with the removal of the 100 (or so) documents that contained "classified markings", there was nothing for Raymond Dearie to rule on.

He was probably getting sick of looking over all the mundane B.S. the FBI scooped up, during the 9 hours they were ransacking Mar-a-Lago.

William Barr was appointed by Donald Trump, yet it was later learned he was more of a "protector of secrets" than he was a drain-the-swamp guy. I think Mike Pence ensured that Trump picked Barr.

Dearie never needed to review all the documents. Dearie had both sides provide a list of documents they believed were privileged. The DOJ provided a list of the documents separated out by the filter team. Trump provided a list of documents separated by the filter team plus a few others.

All Dearie had to do was review those documents the two parties didn't agree on. And even then he was trying to get both parties to come to an agreement on their own. There was actually a final joint filing submitted this afternoon but with the 11ths decision I haven't bothered to read it since it's now moot.

...and? It doesn't matter to Trump anymore, GOP has the House and they'll back him on anything.

As far as I am concerned, The Gov is about to get checked come Jan and I could care less what Mainstream media says to the unwitting sheep.
