It's called Pareto's rule and it SUCKS.

What you aren't seeing is the 20% that carry theae monumental failures on their backs. And are slandered and unnoticed because of it.

It sucks, big time. But anyone who has worked foe someone else has seen this.

As a Christian man, God is my witness to my work. So I stay motivated and seek to be and do the best. As an upper manager, I can tell you, this is NOT confined to one sector. Frivolity is a politicians life too.

As for what is 1p36 deletion syndrome is about in the documents that Pfizer tried to suppress, this kind of complacency seams a part of it.

As for myself, my motivation has been impacted by the globalist trying to kill us. I am still chipping away where I can, but not as young as I use to be. My energy levels got hit hard when getting the flu/covid earlier this year.

With the scale of state sanctioned misinformation going on as well these day, Maybe it is screwing peoples brain up that drink the cool aid?

I am noticing some really dumb stuff going on these days. Maybe the rise of social media is also having some kind of effect as well.

I don't know what 1p36 is all about, but I think more than anything else, we're seeing a multitude of ID10T issues.

I worked with a close friend for a few years doing remodeling. The guy had a really good reputation in our market and was meticulous in his work and work ethic. I liked working with him because he cared about what we were doing and my working hard on his behalf helped a friend whom I cared about. He took good care of me and paid me well.

I would have a hard time putting that kind of effort and energy behind some soulless operation that could give a rat's ass neither about me as a worker nor about the client and the finished product. Honestly, in that kind of a situation, I'd not try to slack, but I'd probably not be to enthusiastic about giving it my all like I did with my friend.

But the stupid ... Yeah, see my previous post. Stupid has abounded for a long time now.

Where I live the unemployment rate is so low that virtually every business has a Help Wanted sign out front. They pretty much have to take what they can get.

I don't know what 1p36 is all about

I am not exactly sure either. From some of the interpretations around it has something to do with the frontal cortex and our cognitive abilities. The impression is that it can make people more detached from reality and result in a more zombie / robot like interactions. With some of the personality changes reported after the vax, 1p36 is one suspect in trying to work out what is going on.

Maybe disconnection? People work for money, not because they care about the company or their boss, or the task they're doing.
Mixed with a little hedonism maybe.
For some they probably think they're just doing it until their breakthrough comes.

I was always under the assumption that work is your time for their money. What you describe however is bone idleness. Onslow would be proud.

You use to be able to start at ground level as a janitor or clerk or secretary and work your way up in a company. You would learn the company from the inside out and from the bottom up. You were rewarded for your work.
Over the years, slowly changing from pay raises and position upgrades to medals and trinkets. You could no longer move up in the company if you did not have the paper from a school to back up your knowledge. Now there are so many dime a dozen people out there with with degrees or people all stuck in the same boat, that companies no longer value the person, just the position.

So when you no longer feel cared about or appreciated for your hard work at a company, what do you do? The mentality of the company and customer before yourself no longer applies due to everyone knowing they are replaceable, even me as a maintenance mechanic for conveyor systems.

So why should anyone put forth any effort for companies that don't care or put forth efforts for them?

I only come to my job for the machines. I like them. The company not so much

Pay people # wages they'll do a # job.

How do you incentivise someone on minimum wage to do a boring, repetitive job in which they are unappreciated and quite often looked down upon?

I understand someone who spends all day stacking shelves tossing it off.
Nearly everyone who walks passed them looks down their nose at them, their immediate line manager is invariable a jumped little Hitler who thinks that because what he perceives as having some power and authority in his otherwise totally insignificant life he can boss around and bully people.

That can be equally applicable for almost every single boring, menial task/role etc.

Of course some people are just bone idle and no amount of incentivising will get them to work.
Only solutions are to 'manage' them out of the business or just sack them and take your chances....I've done both.

Where I live, they had help wanted signs 6 months ago. Today, half those businesses are closed.

You give them the long view - what I do today is a stepping stone to something bigger and better if I do it well. Of course, most people thing that means an immediate return where it can take years of incremental improvement waiting for the opportunity to present or searching for it.
