I don't have the numbers in my head currently but even if we win, we would have to win against Costa Rica and Spain loose the next one to get anywhere.

Tied at the 83rd

Does either side play for the win or is tied good enough??

Depends on the next game and other results and maybe goal difference. It gets complicated and does my head in!

Applause for Spain, referee was doing a good job. Had some hopes in the last two attempts but there we are.

Spain deserved it.

A draw was a fair result.

If Germany play like that they'll beat Costa Rica quite easily.
If they win by more than two goals then anything but a Japanese win against Spain will mean they go through.

I liked the German performance. If Spain play their B team, anything is possible.

Here's a bit more info on the combinations:

Spain need just a point against Japan to qualify for the knockouts. A win will guarantee them top spot. Germany stay bottom for now, but they can jump to second and qualify for the next phase if they beat Costa Rica and Japan lose to Spain. However, it gets a little bit more tricky for Germany if Spain and Japan draw. Then they’d need to beat Costa Rica by at least two goals, or by a single-goal margin providing they score more goals than Japan do against Spain.

Portugal tonight.

I like the team but dislike Twinkle Toes.

Hope he gets sent off.

The night before Beckham got sent off against Argentina I had the most realistic dream about Beckham being sent off for doing exactly what he then went and did.

So real when I woke up I asked Mrs Carpy why he'd done it.

Spooky.

Unfortunately I haven't had any dreams about winning lottery numbers.

No dream about Ronaldo getting a red either. Unfortunately.

Spooky.
I know a lad who once dreamt about a horse winning a race.
This guy never, ever backed horses but he knew I like a flutter.
He asked me if a horse called 'whateveritwascalled' was running today.....and it was in a rather ordinary race at an average meeting.
He backed it - I obviously ignored it - and it won.

He swears to this day its the only time he's ever experienced something like that and he's never had another bet since.

Despite my belief that Ronaldo is the greatest player there's been in my lifetime I don't particularly like him.
But I don't mind Portugal at all - I've met some nice Portuguese people over the years.

But an even bigger BUT.....I've backed Uruguay to win the tournament outright so no guessing who I'll be cheering on tonight!

One of the most annoying things about this tournament is how after every single goal is scored the whole subs bench and everyone connected to the team feel compelled to celebrate with the goalscorer etc.

With Southgate's negativity, arrogance and stubbornness and the Welsh need to prove themselves and their natural desire to beat us at anything I just sense a disaster.

Hopefully this time tomorrow we'll be wondering what all the concern was about.....?

Wales v England is gonna be like a premiership 'A' team versus a premiership 'B' team

Yes. He's far too defensive when the whole point of this tournament is...to win.
