Apparently the English referee wasn't appointed for it because of Argentina and the Falkland Island politics.

Surely an Englishman is the perfect choice for this match as he'd be equally despised by both countries?

Curiosity got the better me of me....I turned it on and within a minute Argentina got a very soft penalty.
Turned it off again.

Speechless... what a final.

I wasn't really bothered who would win, however, I was less happy for a France win for two reasons, both silly and personal.

In the end, I think the better squad won and I'm happy for Messi. Mbappé is still young and will undoubtedly have other opportunities.

Yes, I have to say, and believe me it is thru very gritted teeth, the better team won.
