I ask this question from the standpoint of someone who believes that we the people WORLDWIDE are under assault by the proponents of "The Great Reset," and mainstream television news is complicit in it.

Many people are clueless to the fact that they are being lied to, gaslighted, propagandized, mesmerized, and misguided by their television screen, which they rely upon, without even thinking about it.

Many people have smartphones that they use like they used to use a telephone, but they don't use their internet access to seek truth from whistleblowers, yet in my opinion, ONLY courageous whistleblowers are out their telling the truth as they know it—on the internet.

Of course the internet is a zoo but at least people can find truth if they look for it.

Lies are told to we the people through minions of the Deep State whose occupations are in government, education, medicine, and mainstream news. There is much work to do in reforming government, education, and medicine, but I think that to do any of it, people have to first STOP being lied to by their news source, so that they can REALIZE that they're living in a false world that is dangerous.

If we could change how people get their news it could change everything, I think.

The problem, though, as I see it, is HOW to influence TV-watchers. It seems we can't just tell people what to do.

Does anyone have any ideas about what we COULD do?

it may help you to ask the question correctly.

How can we get people to stop being spoon fed propaganda and to think for themselves?

If you ask it like that, the answer is likely never. Too much effort.

What do you accomplish by saying that?

Because most people are occupied with their daily life. Not everyone has the stamina or interest to engage in intellectual searches or exchanges after a long work day. It's actually a privilege to have enough time plus access to a computer. Then there needs to be interest and skill.

A lot of those are already filtered by what google wants them to see. And that's how you too ended up here with us freaks

And besides that, not a lot that is in the news really directly affects one walking down the road in front of their own lawn.

Most people simply don't want to know the truth. It's too disturbing for them.

I believe that much of the mental illness that plagues society now is due to the cognitive dissonance that the sheep force themselves to live with.

The related problem here is that many alternative sources are
either shadow banned by Oogle, or other search engines, or
eventually if they gain a following the owner is attacked
by alphabet agencies and maybe even deemed to be a
terrorist.

I do agree that the main stream news sources are all
controlled, and follow a certain narrative, this has
been proven.

You are basically on one of the last frontier websites
right now, read up while you still can.

One never knows when the PTB will determine a source
off limits, and "dangerous".

Have you used Google lately? Look past the first few results. I'm coming up with results unrelated to what I'm searching, and it seems very curated.

I've said this before , The problem is stress .

People work , People are Married they have Families they have problems every way they turn and Compounding their stress with the profound realization that the Media is lying to them is just to much to take .

People have turned to the Television for decades now , How many Wars ? How many Historical Social Events have been witnessed on the TV ? People would rather ignore inconvenient Truths than accept them and it will always be like that for 98% of Americans . It's like some unwritten rule of the Universe , The Truth is their available in plain site and anyone can choose to accept it but some truths are almost impossible to grasp when everyone else is grasping for the convenient shiny deception.

I hate “Because I told you so” news. I love the internet because I can readily check several sources to see if what I just read was written by other news sites too. Of course, that is not exactly a pure bet either. Since News Sources can copy - cat each other, but I still feel it is better than the old “Because I told you so news” with no readily available backup sources what-so-ever. They have just gotten away with being able to "propaganda" us for so long, and no one ever questioned it.

I know very, very few people who still have cable television, let alone watch the news. The ones that do are usually boomers with their fox news.

I think the last time I voluntarily watched the news was for a week or so after 9/11.

Internet? For years our area “news” has been little more than the reporters reading off their Twitter feeds.

Real “Go out and get the story!” is long gone.

Maybe if, in the next couple of months, we see food shortages becoming UNAVOIDABLE TO SEE, people will instinctively turn off their television and look around them for step one in a process of unlearning and re-learning.

What makes the internet more reliable than the MSM? Google etc. control what can be found.

True; you have to start with a search engine.

I use DuckDuckGo.

Also, we can learn about specific URLs through face-to-face contact at conferences and by reading.

It doesn't take much to put 2+2 together when you hear the anchor tell you to get the vax, cut to commercials and it's pfizer, pfizer, pfizer. I don't have tv, was at someones house last week (where the tv is ALWAYS on) and they actually said "vaccines only work if everyone gets them".

We need an altruistic billionaire to buy spectrum and raise the price to $500 per mo.

I work in media, both internet and mainstream; It's a business used to hang advertisements on for products and services; "News" is just part of the package. There are rooms full of people with cutting edge technology looking for trends so the products and service ad are targeted to separate demographics. Programming is determined by what people click on their internet devices and with the advent of streaming "smart" TV is an internet device. Recording all your clicks of the remote.

All media is controlled by Capitalist Corporations and their boards of directors; want change? start there. A degree in multi media communication could help you be effective.

Even the thread you started on ATS is in some database waiting to be analyzed and processed. Don't worry it's just capitalism in action, the MARKET PLACE.

They can find their truth but that isn't always the truth.

We want to control peoples behavior, so their behavior isn't controlled?

Quite the conundrum indeed....

Oh don't forget the mic that is sensible enough to record your subvocal speech and cams that register your iris movement.

I can understand why people think their device is reading their thoughts.
