But he's still behind here: www.foxnews.com...

It makes sense that Laxalt would win however, since Nevada citizens changed their Governor from a Democrat, to a Republican last week.

Wow, look how split we are now, this is insane.

50 DEM ✓
SENATE
REP 49

207 DEM
HOUSE
REP 216

24 DEM
GOVERNORS
REP 25

It doesn't get anymore 50/50 than this. Pretty mind boggling to even consider the notion. You go about your day, talk online go out in public, go to work, etc. The people you see may not be 50/50 because of the area you live in, they may be predominantly of one side or the other.

But collectively, when you zoom out to the entire nation, the people line up nearly 50/50, wild. Then you have these instigating trolls crying fraud but that's another can of worms.

Democracy, the Great Experiment. What will the results be? It evolved to a deadlock where nothing could be accomplished without literally half of the people being angry about it or wronged? The result of the experiment will be that it is an incompatible form of government with human nature?

I feel like if the chambers of government could meet in the middle, work it out, compromise instead of just blocking each other with these artifact rules they have about votes, proceedures, percentages and orders of operations.. legislation would get through that benefit the nation.

It doesn't seem like many of them want to do that though. Perhaps the evolution of Democracy in America will be this very thing happening more often due to the inability for damn near anything partisan to get through, because of the exact 50/50 split of representation that we find ourselves in.

🤔🤔🤔

It wouldn't have to be like this if the Dems didn't cheat in so many elections to get their exact half of the position. We could be running things.. forcing it through one way. Dictator would work as long as he's doing what I think is right. I heard Trump was going to announce that he's running for President in 2024 tonight. Any news on that? lol

Your post made me think of this:

A) You don't get political power by solving problems; you get it by talking about solving problems. What you DO with the power is entirely beside the electoral "system." Most problems we experience (and other nations too) wouldn't be problems if politicians weren't involved. Their domain is exploiting "compromise" solutions... that's where the "middlemen" take their cut.

B) Maybe the democratic republic as a construct is not what people think it is generally. They blame the "system" when they should be blaming those we entrusted with the apparatus of government. Any way the system is exploitable, they exploit it.

Sorry, I'm afraid I'm a bit off topic.
