The Russian Ministry of defence has claimed the British Navy blew up Nordstream 1 and 2 , they say they will seek reaction from the U.N. Security Council after presumably presenting their evidence.
They also claim the dastardly British were behind the drone attack launched against Crimea's Black Sea fleet.

The Russian ministry said that "British specialists" from the same unit directed Ukrainian drone attacks on ships of Russian Black Sea fleet in Crimea earlier on Saturday that it said were largely repelled by Russian forces, with minor damage to a Russian minesweeper.

"According to available information, representatives of this unit of the British Navy took part in the planning, provision and implementation of a terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on September 26 this year - blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines," the ministry said.

Britain denied the claim.

"To detract from their disastrous handling of the illegal invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defence is resorting to peddling false claims of an epic scale," the British defence ministry said.

"This invented story, says more about arguments going on inside the Russian government than it does about the West."

Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for Russian foreign ministry, said Moscow will seek reaction from the U.N. Security Council saying on social media Moscow wanted to draw attention to "a series of terrorist attacks committed against the Russian Federation in the Black and Baltic Seas, including the involvement of Britain in them".

We await their evidence.

Yeah let's wait for their evidence! Reading between the lines of your OP, it's clear though how that last sentence has to be interpreted.

I am still waiting on a logic explanation why Russia would hurt itself in that way. Maybe you can help me out?

Russia keeps hurting itself in many other ways, much like a mentally ill teenager who cuts herself. So I don't see how this particular self-harm is so surprising?

Do you actually think they'll entertain Russia's evidence?

Will WE get to see it?

I don't think they will and I don't think we will.

Zero faith in them letting the truth out.

Depends on the strength of the evidence I guess but I doubt we'll get to see it , Russian National security and all that.

So you just claim Russia = Insane and that's your explanation?

Who profits the most is the question that is asked in such situations. It's telling you rather go down an unscientific route than trying to entertain the idea it wasn't Russia doing this to itself.

In any criminal investigation the main question is the motive. Russia has very little motive to blow up their own pipelines. Poland and the USA have a lot of motive, for example. But here you are trying to claim Russia did it because they have hurt themselves in other ways with stupid decisions.

Biased much?

Russia is blaming other countries right before the actual investigation is completed? Yeah. Russia definitely did it.

What if they WANT us to see it, but the Council won't release it?

That's what I think is going to happen.

Wait and see I guess.

Hang on a minute the Russians are claiming we actually had a ship whose prop shaft did not break, a submarine whose captain did not drive it aground on a sand bank and to top it all WE blew up the Nord stream gas pipeline.

Nope something tells me they are telling a load of old codswallop.

Now I might buy it if they said it was Biden's boy's but Brit's, then again, we did have some rotten scoundrels that got us into some other recent conflicts and AGAINST our national interests such as Cameron with Libya and before him Blair in Iraq.

But blowing up that pipeline, no not buying it though if the orders came from the yanks, then maybe.

I can't really see the Russians doing it though as they were waiting for us to calm down and let them RE-Annex the Ukraine and thinking to the future, they probably then wanted us to pay for their oil and gas so why bother to destroy the mechanism of that exchange? something only someone who wanted to prevent that future exchange would do?.

Interesting foray into your thought process.

Scary AF but interesting.

You consider this undeniable proof then?

Alrighty...

This isn't about Ukraine. Don't derail or sidetrack. This is about the claim that Russia blew up their own pipelines.

I ask: Why would they do that, how would they benefit?

What I did not asked for: Strawmans and goal post movement.

The only answer I got so far was some gibberish about self hurting teenagers analogy.

All these countries are so evil it is really hard to know who did it.

A. Did Putin really do it knowing most of us would think he would do it to and reverse UNO and we would think he did it but then think that is too simple and realize the US did it?

B. Did the US do it thinking we would think Putin did it, but then we would think he did it, so it had to be the US, so then Putin had to do it?

C. Did China do it knowing the US and Putin would look back and forth, back and forth at each other.

D……….Did Putin and the US do it together as they are on the same team and looking at all us Peons?

Why would they do that,

For the same reason as when they killed their own troops in 1939. So they could blame someone else.

On that occasions the blame was laid on Finland. Russia have form for this type of thing.

I thought our navy was pretty much crippled and most ships broken down or the runways on carriers melt from the heat of more modern jets so are inopperable?

Seems like yet another Russian propaganda attack on the UK to make up for the international diplomatic fallout after Russia used nuclear and chemical weapons in the UK and killed civilians in the process.

Will await the evidence but doubt the claim has any truth to it. Personally I lean toward it being an innocent accident from the shutdowns rather than any country blowing them up.

Can you name a country that is not insane?

Who profits the most is the question that is asked in such situations.

All I'm saying is that Russia has often made decisions that don't profit them. Russia is a poor country, even though they have vast resources at their disposal. So to me there's nothing surprising about this.

In any criminal investigation the main question is the motive. Russia has very little motive to blow up their own pipelines.

Exactly. But if you see a criminal hurting themselves over and over again, it would be foolish to think they'll suddenly stop. It's just hard for us to understand that mindset that leads a nation to go to war even when there's nothing to win.

Biased much?

What makes you think I am biased? Could you explain that?

War is war, it never makes sense and what's there to win is up to the minds of those attacking. Just because it does not make sense to you or me, does not strengthen your opinion.

Back in the dark days, women that knew their way around herbs and healing were called witches because of that logic too. And subsequently hunted down and burned.

What makes you think I am biased? Could you explain that?

Your unscientific approach favoring a childish comparison over trying to find an actual answer. Holding onto a made up explanation instead of asking or allowing questions.
