Big deal. I bought my weed at a gas station last week.

Well, maybe "bought" isn't the right word. Somebody noticed my "Grass, gas, or ass ..." bumper sticker and one thing led to another.

I'm not really talking about the specific risk of people driving high, but instead the risk for getting popped while driving high. We can revisit this in a year and see if the arrests for DUI have gone up or not.

Part of my logic includes that my customers generally buy an ounce or more at a time and the price is lower than the black market for all but the highest quality stuff. They are likely good for buying weed for days. I imagine the gas station will be selling a few grams prepackaged at a mark-up. People will either be making multiple trips a week or buying while just passing through. Also, people have parking for my stores that does not really give away where they are going. I know you can buy more than pot from a gas station, but cops are nosey and like to observe. Especially those who are just passing through.

Yes, you are correct about prescription medications that are narcotics. You can in my state get in trouble for driving on them even though you are prescribed them. I should know, they won't let me have a drivers license because I am on these. I'm not allowed to operate heavy machinery. If I would drive on these medications and get into an accident or kill someone with a vehicle, I would be in deep s--t.

Understood.

Luckily, you're a responsible person.

What makes you think the road isn't full of dopped up drives already?
And not just weed. But beer, and prescription pills, and coke, and all the rest?

Does being able to buy beer at the gas station make more drunk drivers?

I work at a pharmacy, everytime I change the trash out front I always see either liquor or beer bottles in the trash can, and to be honest, they come in for the scripts and get their booze too. I can say I've denied selling alcohol to a few customers based on their behavior (clearly wasted).

I had to post this for you all when I saw it. I had an aha moment when I saw this. I remember being about 17 (1995) and all of us smoking, and saying how we'll be able to buy this from the gas station one day. Bud was highly illegal and came with harsh prison sentences back then. But even as teenagers in the 90s we knew that there was nothing wrong with what we were doing (smoking a bowl and playing video games mostly).
And low and behold, you will soon be able to buy your bud while you get your gas and doritos.

Here is a little something i have known for years.. By making pot available to everyone, it will be extremely easy to create a slave society of bootlickers, once people have been trained to be high all the time, there aint nothing they wont tolerate for that constant reward loop.

Awesome! The road will be full of doped up drivers. I guess that setting people up to lose their driver's license is one way to get the common folk out of their cars.

Darwin award. It might cost a few quality souls in addition to hundreds of disposable mouth breathers but the gene pool hasn't been properly flushed since before the Clinton administration. Take the warning labels off and let society do the rest.
