That's part of the problem.

The markets hated her economic policies, for good reasons, and so did we.

I do think it's about time to call a general election, the trouble is Truss' appointment and mini budget caused enough financial termoil, a general election could possibly make things worse. But on the plus side, atleast it will shut Sturgeon up for a few minutes.

Tend to agree as to the mess being somewhat unfixable YouSir.

Hence the need for a general election.

But i think the Tories know they cannot win, so im not getting my hopes up on that score.

As to Boris, well that's a prize cockwomble of the first order that don't give a rat's arse about anybody aside from himself and his own ilk.

If Boris is put back in power i tend to imagine it will only add more fuel to the fire.

It's Autumn here, not Winter.

16 degrees here and the Sun is shining.

But never mind.

How's your own economy doing?

All going swimmingly for Biden?

When the Tories came to power the national debt was £900 Billion or so. They oversaw 12 years of austerity with the promise it was needed to get the debt under control. UK Debt is now...drum roll. £2.75 Trillion and climbing fast.

Scotland and Wales need to gtf out and away from this Trusster#.

Don't forget about Northern Ireland. With Sinn Fein in charge, this might be the ideal time to seek reunification with Ireland.

Irish reunification is a given, Hence the reason I never included it.

Absolutely no reason why Scotland, Wales, and NI should be dragged any further into the mire by London's/Englands suicidal politics and political choices.

45 days ffs!

What a joke!

What's happening is the current Tory administration is in its death throes.

With no real confidence in the people they put forward for the position of PM.

What needs to happen is a general election imho but i would not get our hopes up there.

Labour jackass if he's from Michigan.

All that should be required to shut Sturgeon up should be a mere mention of the state of her own constituency.

Because if she canny fix that place then she sure as # canny run our nation.

Aside from into the ground that is.

Anyhoo far as i can establish no Tory or Labour government will be silly enough to allow another Scottish referendum given our feelings towards Brexit and how close a call it was last time around.

We at least get the opportunity to try as we can remove a leader at any time. Unlike America who is stuck with a lame duck for 4 years.

That's how democracy works here.

I'm not sure if this is entirely true as I saw it on Facebook just now.

Liz Truss is the only PM to not have an episode of #DoctorWho air during their premiership since the show began in 1963.

Best talk about all that at the appropriate time....as its not currently on the agenda its really just a deflection from the topic under conversation.
And as usual Nats seeking to exploit anything and everything to further their cause, I understand that.

The only thing I will say is that there will never be a united Ireland as long as there are people who remember and experienced The Troubles.

I don't know how many people you actually know from Northern Ireland Solo but I know quite a few.....its nowhere near as cut and dried as you seem to suggest.

Start a thread on the subject and I'll gladly contribute to respectful debate but doing so here only serves to deflect away from the truly appalling # show that is going on in Westminster at present.

Doctor who was not made between 1989-2005. So a few Prime Ministers didn't have Dr Who aired.
