I just wanted to chime in with a link to a youtube video I thought some of you would like. I do not like to make many threads as my opinion of thread-worthy subjects is often wrong.

If you are familiar with the Infographics Show their material seems to be very well-researched and I enjoy many of their videos.

This is a very detailed video about some of the deserters/AWOL/pacifists that are/were Russian soldiers.

The video is only 2 days old, I don't know how old/accurate the information they are acting with is.

At the bottom, I will also share the link they have to their sources for anyone curious enough.

Russia wants to keep Zelend-me-sky alive as much as possible.

Zelensky keeps sending meat to Bakhmut grinder right now for example and among other things. Why interrupt it?

Russia is committed to having this drawn out as long as it takes. Years.

In the west, people are more prone to snap and protest as time goes on with inflation and prices continuing to soar.

Look at the looting 2 years ago for the George Floyd thing for example.

The thing with China is they look 100 years down the road and if they can do something today to create a better China in 100 years they will. They also wouldn't care if they lost 100s of millions of people being 1.6 billion compared to Russia's 150 million. China would basically love to own 80% of the continent and with the massive recourses of Russia it would do them well. China's economy is also in a tail spin, so what it better than a good war to get the people's minds off of that. It is not as far fetched as one might think.

That is a funny statement when they only had gas and supplies for like 2 weeks. So it looks like Russia will round up another 500k troops from men ages 18 to 60 to include college students etc. Barely 2 weeks of training and off to the front for them with antiquated equipment and zero to poor leadership in the field.

It all reminds me of WWII when Russia gave 1 gun per 2 men. When someone dies someone without a gun picks it up, and the good guns were the leadership in the back to kill anyone that tried to escape.

Nor does Russia with China, or any other countries against China and Russia together.

Speaking of “ antiquated equipment” …Did you not see a lot of the stuff that NATO countries have sent to Ukraine as well?

One other thing to consider is China screwed up with allowing Capitalism to turn 800 million poor into middle class and they need a big reset to align Communism once again to have full control on the masses. Call it a big reset or Armageddon in either case it works for China.

Pretty bad when the 1990s HIMAR is too much for Russia. Yes we are sending older equipment but in comparison holy crap is Russia old as in what we are seeing as new for them is 1980s.

The US has also been on a massive evolution of war equipment over the last 20 years with real time testing in war and trillions in development. Just look at our equipment from 2000 compared to today... not even close, but Russia is even going to 1960s stuff.

The war is expected to last decades just like the Cold War.

It won't last that long and may be over by next summer. The Russian military is falling apart and is already passing the point of no return. My only fear is how they will react when they lose Crimea. The Ukrainians have achieved irreversible momentum, there is inexorable movement and pressure from the Ukrainians against the Russians. Russians are now just trading bodies for time as they face a difficult winter in Ukraine.

All the Russians have to do is pop the cork on something heavy there local and that all changes..all those bodies are going to provide some easy justification for whatever they want to do…look how they've rolled so far..its the path set.a reply to: dragonridr

24 December Update

* Russian forces will likely struggle to maintain the pace of their offensive operations in the Bakhmut area and may seek to initiate a tactical or operational pause.

* Ukrainian intelligence continues to suggest that the Russian military is not following proper command structures or procedures.

* Russian forces continued to conduct limited counterattacks to regain lost positions along the Kreminna-Svatove line.

* Russian forces continued to conduct offensive operations around Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

* Russian SPETSNAZ are likely reconnoitering the Dnipro River delta to study Ukrainian defenses in right bank Kherson Oblast.

* Russian forces struck a residential area of Kherson City with a Grad multiple launch rocket system, killing at least 10 and injuring 55.
