China Rebukes Russia’s Nuclear Threats in Ukraine for First Time

China has warned Russia against threatening to use nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine, in a rare departure from its usual tacit support for Moscow’s positions. The warning came during talks on Friday between Chinese leader Xi Jinping and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Beijing, according to Mr. Scholz and the Chinese state news agency Xinhua. Messrs. Xi and Scholz agreed to oppose the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons, according to Mr. Scholz and a report by Xinhua, which normally echoes Beijing’s official positions.

Dmitry Medvedev telegram

What is our weapon?Weapons are different. We have the opportunity to send all enemies to the fiery Gehenna, but this is not our task. We listen to the words of the Creator in our hearts and obey them. These words give us a sacred purpose. The goal is to stop the supreme ruler of hell, no matter what name he uses - Satan, Lucifer or Iblis. For his goal is death. Our goal is life . His weapon is an intricate lie. And our weapons are Truth. That is why our cause is right. That is why victory will be ours! Happy Holidays!

Lip service from the Chinese. Chinese care about money. Russia is a big profitable market. Chinese do not sanction Russia precisely because Russia is a Chines client state and has been for decades already.

They have gone full Jihad.
Its morphed from a Nazi Ukrainian enemy into an existential fight for the existence of the God fearing Russians against the dark satanic forces of the west.
It ain't Putins personal war which he thought would get him statues built all across the Neo Soviet continent, honest.

Oh apparently the Brits are now busy training up an insurgent/guerilla army in Odesa, ready to infiltrate/take Crimea-

Investigative news website The Grayzone named the key players working with the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) in Odessa, the Black Sea port to the west of Crimea, to set up the covert force.
They include military consultant Hugh Ward, who works for private security firm Rezolutionz, MI6 veteran Guy Spindler, former Lithuanian defence minister Audrius Butkevicius and veteran intelligence agent Chris Donnelly. Donnelly is a former advisor to late British prime minister Margaret Thatcher and co-founder of the Institute for Statecraft in 2009.
He and his think-tank were later behind the sinister information warfare outfit the Integrity Initiative.
Leaked internal memos showed that Donnelly was concerned that even Kiev's staunchest backer, US President Joe Biden, feared an endless proxy war with Russia following recent statements from Washington sounding vague support for a negotiated peace.

sputniknews.com...

Does Biden fear an endless proxy war with Russia?
I get the impression he quite likes the idea, but what do i know.
Anyway, the Russians are not letting up with all these supposed British schemes-I think it looks as though the Russians may see the UK government as a weak link in NATO,so they keep makng stuff up to maybe worry us Brits into ousting our lastest government.
Any destabilistaion is a good thing to Ivan.

conscript battalion almost entirely wiped out in Luhansk Oblast by ukraine

Details: One of the survivors, Russian serviceman Aleksey Agafonov, told Verstka about the losses among the conscripts as a result of a Ukrainian attack on the contact line near Makiivka in Luhansk Oblast. According to the soldier, the number of occupiers killed may exceed 500. According to Agafonov, the commander of the battalion of conscripts, who were trained in military unit 2079, had promised that the soldiers would be brought to Svatove, where they would join the "territorial defence" 15 kilometres away from the front line. However, on the night of 2 November, the entire battalion was taken to the contact line and ordered to entrench and hold the line of defence. Quote from Agafonov: "We were dumped into the forest and ordered to entrench; we had only three shovels for the battalion, and there was no support at all. We entrenched as best we could, and in the morning the [Ukrainian] attack started. [Ukrainian forces used] artillery, Grad MLRS, mortars and copters; we were just shot. When it all started, the officers immediately ran away. In between the attacks, we tried to entrench, but the copters immediately spotted us and just shot us. Out of 570 people, 29 managed to survive, 12 more were wounded, and the rest are all dead". More details: Agafonov also added that before this incident, at least one other battalion of conscripts was destroyed at the same position.

i mean if this don't show a bleak picture of the rest of the conscripts prospects of survival i don't know what else will convince them to pack up and go home.

this has to be killer for Russian morale. on the other hand it must be boosting the Ukrainians morale through the roof. And if helicopters are doing the strikes on the Russian infantry it means their air defense must be severely lacking and id guess means Russian air force is no where to be found.

add in the attacks on sevestopal (navy) the almost total lack of Russian air force response and the now floundering russian infantry and it seems Russia is batting 0-3 against Ukraine

Yeeh it`s JIHAD TIME

Remember the 1979 Iran revolution and times after that, as in almost everyday we watched news on TV where the leaders and people there burned American flags and declare West/America the great satan .......apparently now Russia echoes this same satan script from at least few individuals ....

The grayzone is Russian propaganda outlet, so i live it there...

"conscript battalion almost entirely wiped out in Luhansk Oblast by ukraine "

I find it hard to understand how the russian state goes to the trouble of pullng all these conscripts out of their day jobs to the detriment of the economy-and then used in a way that has zero benefit to the war.

3 shovels for one frontline battalion.

Of course all the putin lovers will say this is BS-but its consistent-there are literaly thousands of intercepted phone calls from russians cursing how they are given 3 rounds of ammo each for rusty AKs,zero water foood or other equipment.

They are drinking from puddles, eating dogs and zoo animals.

And even though Shoigu recently claimed the mobilization is complete-it isn't.
Maybe because they are being slaughtered as fast as they are sent to the front.

"Numerous Russian sources reported that Russian enlistment officers are continuing to mobilize men despite Shoigu's previous announcements of the conclusion of partial mobilization," the ISW report states.
"Local Russian outlets reported instances of men receiving mobilization notices in Tyumen and St. Petersburg as of October 31."

In fairness, he isnt saying *they* attack US bases, he's saying they will supply weapons to all the enemies of the US so those enemies can do it instead.

You know, that overflowing supply of extra weapons that's so plentiful the Russian army dont even need to use them all in Ukraine.

That is Putin's bread and butter. KGB and E German intel were behind the financing and arming of the terrorist groups in western Europe in the 1970s and 80s.

"Ukraine war a 'warmup,' the 'big one is coming' and US behind in nuclear, admiral warns"

"The war in Ukraine is a prelude to greater military challenges to the US in the near future, and America is losing its competitive edge in nuclear weapons capabilities, US Strategic Command head Admiral Charles Richard warned in a speech at the Naval Submarine League's 2022 Annual Symposium & Industry Update on Wednesday, the US Defense Department reported.

"This Ukraine crisis that we're in right now, this is just the warmup," said Richard. "The big one is coming. And it isn't going to be very long before we're going to get tested in ways that we haven't been tested in a long time" www.jpost.com...

All this brainwashing and Russian propaganda flying around is preparation for the economic collapse that's happening in Russia at an accelerating pace, alongside the failure of Putin's military objectives to subjugate Ukraine. What proportion of the Russian population still support all of this today, and what about tomorrow, when they have to queue for bread, like in the "good old days"?

And, for the record, the Russian economy is failing. Beyond the propaganda, the sanctions are biting. There is plenty of impartial analysis "out there". China's lack of support for Putin's folly is likely based upon their concern that they would be targeted by secondary sanctions, which would impact China.

The WarInUkraine youtube channel thinks China's economy is imploding even without any sanctions, and that they might start a war invading taiwan to distract the population from the impending implosion, so they don't need any sanctions to make things worse according to him. In fact one analyst claimed Putin started the invasion of Ukraine for similar reasons, to distract the population and hold on to power but I'm not sure about that, I wouldn't rule it out but I'm not sure how likely that is.
