9 February update 2:

Russian missile strikes / drone strikes in several cities in Ukraine. This may signal the start of Russia's "big push".

Or not

Cheers

Interesting take on the whole war in Ukraine ..

The take in short seem to be that if the west just stop supporting Ukraine then Putin will end this out of the goodness of his heart because he doesnt really want to be there, this is all a misunderstanding since it was the US that forced Russia to invade Ukraine, they are the victim to the evil plots of the Biden administration.

I have... some... doubts about the video.

Appeasers of the World, unite!

Repeat ten times, then bow down before the dictator Mr Putin, before apologising for doubting his magnanimity.

Slovakia have said the are ready to start the process of sending MIG-29s to Ukraine once Ukraine requests them.

"Moldova's pro-Western government resigned on Friday after a turbulent 18 months in power marked by economic turmoil and the spillover effects of Russia's war in neighbouring Ukraine."

I read somewhere recently that the Moldovan people are tired of the suffering caused by the war and massive increases in food and utilities and how they were yearning for the good old days of cheap living subsidised by Moscow.

"The new government will have three priorities: Order and discipline, a new life and economy, and peace and stability," Recean, a defence adviser to Sandu and secretary of Moldova's security council, told a news briefing.

His challenges include dealing with what Moldova portrays as attempts by Russia to destabilise the tiny former Soviet republic of 2.5 million people which borders Ukraine and NATO and EU member Romania."

Sounds like they are far from yearning for the "good old days"?

From your source:

"Tensions rose further on Friday when Chisinau said a Russian missile had violated Moldovan airspace before hitting Ukraine, and summoned Russia's ambassador to protest.

The foreign ministry condemned "the latest unfriendly actions and statements against Moldova" and said they were "absolutely unacceptable."

Yearning for the good old days?

Bollox.

More head spinning hypocritical arguments and counter conflicting sentence run ons...

This cracked record is getting boring.

Love how they mention America being an Orwellian country (even though ironically '1984' was banned in ruZZia for decades but was never banned in America) followed by them then using the "Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia" argument describing themselves and America the last 80 years.

The good old, take what they say and replace every other country named and blamed with 'ruZZia' and you have the actual truth of the matter. ruZZia must have an amazing movie culture, given just how much projection goes on within its borders.

They are so stupid... and their viewers even more stupid.

You'll get no argument from me.

The usual suspects will be along soon.

If I'm allowed to say that?

Notice how the missile strikes have stopped ?

My guess is they're saving their stock for a big strike when they start their offensive.

Cheers

Spoke too soon.

Also, it isn’t clear how the offensive will evolve.

It’s very possible that Russia isn’t going to have some massive offensive as in going in blitzkrieg’n to Kiev as some are thinking.

Russia isn’t a hurry to do that.

If anything, it will be encirclements around fortified areas.

As we’re seeing now in the making.

Bakhmut for example is getting more and more encircled and getting cut off. And you can see other areas as well.

Perhaps when that’s accomplished, then there will be bigger offenses later.

But not until full encirclements/cutting off many troops as possible in a basket are accomplished first.

If theirs is the opposite of ours, then one must be therefore clearly wrong, and the other must be at the very least, mostly right?... so whos propaganda is right?

Given the common sense and fact checking, score keeping seems to show the ruZZian propaganda is now sitting squarely in negative numbers in terms of reality... id say our sides propaganda must logically therefore be the right one... even if some of ours might sit uneasily close to 0 line on very rare occasions.

Not sure what she mean exactly in the statement, did she mean tanks that are operational, than can be used ..Russia has a lot tanks in warehouses or open air, but many of those are old rust junk ,or from 60s-70s .

US Department of Defense: Russia lost half of its tanks in Ukraine

Here is the live stream recording of the CNAS event where US Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander said that Russia “has probably lost half of its main battle tank stock in combat and through Ukrainian capture”

Given that Ukraine is the beneficiary of US satellite imagery, and US/UK (and other) signals intelligence, it's likely the Russian offensive will be understood before it begins. This is how Ukraine was forewarned of Russia's invasion a year ago. For well over a year, mainly UK and US SIGINT (etc) aircraft have been continuously on station.

Does everyone recall all the media whined-on about how Russia would never act aggressively and the US/UK was just trying over-reacting. Lucky, in the months leading to Russia's invasion the US and US supplied Ukraine with the means to stop Russia's invasion (which they had clearly see coming), even as Germany protested and tried to stop UK missiles reaching Ukraine, by banning overflights of their territory. Oh, Germany, what a weak and fickle friend you have proven to be.

Probably the ones that were in working order before the war. The rest of it is scrap metal, although it might provide some replacement parts via cannibalization.

11 February Update

* Russian forces launched another massive series of missile and drone strikes across Ukraine.

* Recent footage of a failed Russian assault near Vuhledar, Donetsk Oblast has ... demonstrated the systemic poor training of Russian mobilized personnel.

* Russian forces continued offensive operations northwest of Svatove and around Kreminna.

* Russian forces continued offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka-Donetsk City areas as well as in western Donetsk Oblast.

* Russian forces reportedly conducted a limited ground attack in Zaporizhia Oblast.

More at URL above.

Me: As mentioned previously, Russia conserved its stock of missiles and drones for a strike(s) lining up with their offensive. How the offensive develops remains to be seen.

Cheers
