You, yourself, earlier in this thread, advocated for overthrowing the Russian government and splitting up the country, whether the Russian people want it or not. You are literally advocating us doing to Russia the exact same thing you are upset about Russia doing to Ukraine!

I disagree. We are about as active in this war as we could get. The only thing Ukraine is providing is warm bodies for the slaughter. Those are US weapons, trained by US personnel, directed by US policy.

We have even had some people from the USA go there to fight on the ground... and were quickly and quite literally abandoned to Russian forces.

This is not a war between Russia and Ukraine, It may have started as a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but now it is a war between Russia and the USA, with the USA using Ukraine as a skirt to hide behind.

As you correctly point out, there are many other potential Putin's around within Russia.
We must be careful not to foster the environment and atmosphere that would actively enable one of those to emerge in control.

To my eye, that seems to be exactly what we are doing.

At the end of the day, any country which tries to impose its will on other countries is fostering conflict and anger which will eventually lead to violence. That includes, yes, Russia's actions against Ukraine, but it also includes our actions against Russia. There are very few good guys in this conflict, and that could be quite the problem later on.

Russia will very likely become 100% dependent on China to have anything that sort of resembles an economy.
So it totally doesn't matter who'll have the say in Russia because it is going to be the lackey of whoever has the say in China.
And that's something for sure no matter how long it takes or how the war ends.
