The US is quite a bit bigger than the UK.

We are doing our bit.

Interesting to see all the self loathing hand wringers out tonight.

Many 'smaller' countries are punching WAY above their weight class this time, and Americans are extremely thankful for that.

We are currently stuck with a reckless idiot as a result of democrat party election stealing.

i thought there is no evidence of a stolen election, or do you know more than anyone else?

Yes. We are free to do what we like.

Which is standing up to potential Hitler's.

We Brits aren't keen on appeasing suchlike.

And the US is not the be all and end all to us.

The EU no longer dictates anything to us.

Sorry mate, if you think that the UK/EU /Europe, the rest of the #ing world are 'following' Biden or the USA you are sadly mistaken.
Believe it or not we are more than capable of our own independent thought - we ARE NOT at the USA's beck and call despite what many may think.

What do trade and defense treaties have to do with russia's invasion of Ukraine?

Though some of us do have obligations as a result of the Budapest agreement that russia has repeatedly violated.

They are.

Peace is only possible when russians leave Ukraine.

Your source is chump change. The US gave more than that in equipment to the Taliban. About 20x more.

Resist Russian expansionism and protect a country's borders and independence that we swore to respect....unlike Russia.

Apologies, I really wanted to leave this discussion and go watch some # TV!

that only pertained to Oldcrappy getting miffed that I suggested the UK didn't have money to spend on this proxy war. Otherwise has nothing to do with it. Russia's invasion of Ukraine is about an ongoing escalation on their border against prior promises that extends back to at least 2014 when a democratically elected leader was thrown out with the help of a US-backed coup.

Because you said this:

"Ukraine not being a NATO country then leaves it basically to the US"

yeah, because this isn't a NATO obligation. And the G7 is a trade organization, not a defense pact. So if there wasn't the US pushing Ukraine to fight with the weapons its providing what conflict would be happening? It's up to the US only in the sense that they created this and are trying to get people to join them. It's in nobodies self interest of their citizens to do that. peace could have been obtained the day this conflict started.

you mean since the attack started.
for what reason exactly did putin attack ukraine and why does he keep on bombing? is it about crimea? about nazis? about fear of nato? is it about the highly dangerous lgbt movement or about the dream of the great russian empire?

Have any evidence of that 'US backed coup'?

Is this referring to the former Ukrainian president who fled to russia after stealing 70m, and then got impeached by Ukrainians?

FFS man, get over yourself.
Not everything in this world revolves around the US.
There is far more to the world than America.

Some things in this world are simply 'The Right Thing To Do'.

The same 'demands' were made by Ukraine and the world while russia was still 'winning'.

So why keep making stuff up?

I'm trying to understand your point, but I can't help but come back to you must not know why you are fighting in Ukraine. If that's the case, fine. Otherwise, it doesn't jive with your comment about everything isn't about America.
