This war is weird, where are the jets and good stuff? All I see are rockets and artillery?

russia lost a bunch of planes to the 'Ghost' and quickly realized russian aircraft are nearly defenseless against the air defense systems in use.

Same for Ukraine, except they always knew better, and they still occasionally use what little they have in creative ways.

Hiding in barns most of the time.

But the Ukrainian Air Force did just *hint* on tgram that they blew up the bridge tonight.

Though a few minutes later russia officially blamed it on a truck bomb.

LOL! Just wondering why they are so scared of the sky is all. Both sides. Are missile defense systems that good?

I don't imagine that Russia allows Ukrainian trucks to cross such a vital, strategic, bridge, at least without a thorough search for bombs? For just this reason.

So, if a truck bomb was involved, in any way, wouldn't that indicate that the bomb was planted by Russians?

When your own people begin actively sabotaging your military efforts, the "frontline" has become your own home front.

Additionally, if Ukraine did, actually manage to attack this bridge, doesn't that make a second, perhaps bigger, attack more likely?

Now that they've figured out how to do it, all they have to do is do it again.

And again.

And again.

And......

Is that a train on fire on that bridge? Why is it burning if not?

A bunch of them morphed into a single all powerful 'Ghost'.

Has to be Napalm or something to keep a blaze? Or does concrete burn?

Burning fuel was draining from the tankers, no signs of anything like napalm being used.

Gotcha hope no one was injured. Now let's stream air battles.

Perhaps it was a new twist in terrorism. A train bomb.

Sad to see good infrastructure go down, but that is the reality of war.

Given different political dynamics, that bridge could have been a symbol of international partnership.

Cheers

fires nearly out
looks like the rail section is salvageable.

looks like 2 sections of road collapsed.

twitter.com...

3 possible events?

2 hits on pillars holding the roads up and one on the train?

It looks like this video shows the damaged road section still above water while the train was burning at around 3:00, and I don't see any indication of a truck bomb.

youtu.be...

Still not definitive yet though.

Burning fuel does not do concrete good. The high temperature likely as not significantly weakened the integrity of the span.

That might complicate the repairs, once they clear the train from the track.

Well, that and the fact that they will be trying to repair a vital piece of infrastructure, in a war zone, with a severely compromised supply chain, all while likely coming under additional attacks.

There are many Russian military bases around Ukraine with the same range or below as was this hit to Kerch bridge, it it was missile fired from Ukrainian position....at least 250 km . This hit must make them wonder now what else could be targeted ...
