Soon it will be snowing AGAIN... well living in the North has always been a struggle against the powers of the Nature but nowadays less so.
I remember my mother wanted to dry clothes outside in winter time specially when it was -10 degrees of Celsius, colder the better !
In the countryside my grandmothers just before christmas activities included taking all carpets on the snow and give good beating to those and the scent was fresh like just washed ones. Once when i was younger i decided to take a shortcut to main road through small treeless area in winter thinking snow will hold my weight as it was - degrees, after few steps i was in the snow up to my shoulders and it was very difficult to climb back where i came from.

Just try that. Your clothes will sink in the lake.

How on earth do cloths dry outside with minus 10C?
I can't even get mine to dry with +10c... unless I leave them outside for 3 days and it doesn't rain

Dry frosty air evaporates moisture from laundry, and icy laundry is almost dry when brought inside.

That is actually quite great experience and common in Scandinavia. As a child i think i was about 3 or 4 years old when i had my first dip in such a icy water, my father often made such a hole in ice and just dip me and my brother shortly and after that we ran fast back barefoot inside sauna. My father said we were never sick as a child due that lol. Ice swimming really boost your Blood circulation, in some spas you can get the same experience.

We watch all of Jonna Jinton's videos. My wife subscribes to her channel or whatever it is. Her voice is soothing. It is relaxing.

Here is one we watched not long ago. video.search.yahoo.com...=2&vid=c6df495235e00d73a0fcfff8fefc1022&action=click

It was about the nordic vampires but the link just brings you to her videos for some reason.

It reminds me of living here in the U.P of Michigan.

We have done that at hunting camp, they actually dry kind of fast in the winter hanging outside for some strange reason. I think it has something to do with the sun and the dry air.

Actually it has to do with cold.. water vaporizes as the climate is dry.
