Your view of the timeline is absolute bullshyt and you know it. The events, in their proper sequence were Ukraine, at bidens urging, shut down the opposition party tv stations. That was the first event. First, as in before the second one... Then, Ukraine seized the assets of medvedchuk, including a pipeline that carried Russian oil to Europe, effectively sanctioning Russian oil. That was the second event, as in before the third one... Then Russia started massing troops on the Ukraine border in Feb of 2021....thats last year in case you didn't know. Russia waited a full year before actually invading Ukraine. Your assertion that Russia is already occupying large portions of Ukraine is also absolute bullsyt. There are Russian people living in Ukraine, but Ukraine was not under military occupation. That is an outright lie.

As for 2014, the events then are very similar to current events. If the events of 2014 were a land grab, why didn't Russia have the land? If they "grabbed it" in 2014 and occupied it, why did they invade this year? Doesn't it seem odd for them to invade a country they already occupy? Do you hear how freaking stupid you sound???

In 2014 Putin wanted to create a protectorate in Ukraine to give Russian loyals living in Ukraine a voice in government. obama didn't want that and did everything he could to interfere. Much like everything else obama did, his efforts failed. The opposition party was formed and came in a close second in the next election that saw zelensky win the Presidency.

Your comment that there is nothing improper about Ukraine turning off the opposition party tv stations is also bullshyt. It is the equivalent of democrats turning off every republican media source in the US. You don't see a problem with that??? Really?

No they did not. You need to look beyond the bullet points and actually understand what happened. There have always been people living in Ukraine that are loyal to Russia. They are not military or agents of Russia, just people loyal to Russia. As for 2014, here is your time line.

2010: Yanukovich wins a presidential election.

2013: Yanukovich's government suspends trade and association talks with the EU and opts to revive economic ties with Moscow, triggering months of mass rallies in Kyiv.

February 2014: Parliament votes to remove Yanukovich after bloodshed in the protests. Within days, armed men seize parliament in the Ukrainian region of Crimea and raise the Russian flag. Moscow later annexes the territory. It was people living in Ukraine that revolted and favored joining Russia rather than the EU. Russia annexed them as part of Russia. Now tell me, where was the invasion?

Did Russia every leave Ukrainian territory after 2014. People loyal to Russia have always lived in Ukraine. It was pro-Russian separatists in the eastern region of Donbass who declared independence. Again, no invasion by Russia.

Does the US think its any of their business what Ukraine does? If Russian loyals silenced the pro-democratic party in Ukraine would the US have anything to say about it? Our history says yes, we would get involved. So why is it any different for Russia when they want to protect people loyal to their way of life?

We aren't talking about the cartoon network here. Ukraine silenced an entire political party loyal to Russia, which represented nearly half their population, when they shut down those tv stations. From a tactical standpoint shutting down communications always precedes more aggressive actions. Soon after the tv stations were shut down Ukraine started seizing assets of the opposition party leader and effectively sanctioned Russian oil delivery to Europe. Now tell me again why this shouldn't get any attention from Russia...
