Trump is suing CNN for defamation.

CNN has attempted to taint Trump “with a series of ever-more scandalous, false, and defamatory labels of ‘racist,’ ‘Russian lackey,’ ‘insurrectionist,’ and ultimately ‘Hitler,’” the former president’s lawyers said in the suit filed Monday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Trump is seeking at least $475 million in damages, according to the filing.

“Beyond simply highlighting any negative information about the plaintiff and ignoring all positive information about him, CNN has sought to use its massive influence -- purportedly as a ‘trusted’ news source -- to defame the plaintiff in the minds of its viewers and readers for the purpose of defeating him politically,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.

CNN didn’t immediately respond to an email requesting comment on the lawsuit.

This should be fun.

Couldn't CNN countersue on the same points? Trump has done much of what is in the filing to multiple news outlets.

Trying to recoup some of the mega chunk (700 million) of his net worth he lost by being President.

www.businessinsider.com...

Like him or not, this man didn’t need to be President. Nor did it help him financially. That shows true motive right there.

CNN (fake news) played a huge role in this. I hope he wins.

So you post videos of Trump calling CNN out for being fake news.

Uhhhh, Doesn’t that further the plaintiffs claim?

No, both cases would have to be proven and both could be used as a basis for defamation.

Exactly why he was such a wonderful President, because he certainly didn't need it - he said it like it was and whoever didn't like it, too bad. And he didn't sugarcoat things, like this silly 'uncle joe' and the giggler.

I'm no lawyer and personally I hope he puts everyone of those people associated with CNN out on the street.

However you have legalized propaganda laws that he never took off the books.

And if CNN goes down, so does Fox News.

There goes your whole MSM infrastructure.

I can't see that happening.

Every outlet took advantage of it to some extent, right?

This is not like the Sandman case, the deepstate was behind it.

Your courts are a big part of that mess.

It's a Mexican standoff, unless the plan is for the country to swing completely over to the right all along and only one side gets taken down.

Possible if WW3 is on the cards.

Not exactly .
When you have one of your top newsmen get down on his knees in a puddle of water to make it look like he was in a flood , I would definitely call that "fake news"

Trump suing? I'm shocked!

I'm sure CNN will use Fox news' excuse of anchors/talk show hosts being entertainors and not journalists.

"Beyond simply highlighting any negative information about the plaintiff and ignoring all positive information about him"

This is most of MSM anyway. Fox news, OAN, and other right wing do the same with the Biden adminstration. I'm suprised anyone who actually cares about honest journalism watches these networks.

Having said that, I hope Trump wins. Then I hope the Bidens sue Fox news into oblivion for the same.

Lets make it dangerous to be a very bias national large news network. Im no fan of Trump but i think the aweful journalism of fox news, msnbc, cnn, OAN, ect.. have created more misinformation and division than any stupid tweet or statement Trump ever made.

For once, im rooting for Trump.

Of course he's suing CNN.

"In June 2016, USA Today published an analysis of litigation involving Donald Trump, which found that over the previous three decades Trump and his businesses had been involved in 3,500 legal cases in U.S. federal and state courts, an unprecedented number for a U.S. presidential candidate. Of the 3,500 suits, Trump or one of his companies were plaintiffs in 1,900; defendants in 1,450; and bankruptcy, third party, or other in 150."

en.wikipedia.org...

For Donald Trump, being in non-stop litigation has been a lifestyle choice all his adult life.

People need to pause for a moment and think about how abnormal that is.

You are just adorable.
Your hopes are very much pipe dreams.
You clearly have no idea of what's going on and he played you.
Being so little must be interesting.
I am almost positive the judge in this case will possibly charge Trump for wasting his or her time.
But all you little thumb lickers will be bitting nails on this.
Just like you do with a 13yo Q conspiracy that has never come to fruition.

If he wins and buys CNN I'm going to need to upgrade my health insurance. I'll be laughing myself right to death.
