pretty sure stuff like this happened often when America had conscription still, its only natural people freak out when being forced to risk their life against their will, many probably end up feeling like they have nothing to lose so its either die on the battlefield or die after getting even.

Suppose there are worse fates than death that await the poor sods on the battlefield.

Plenty of the unlucky ones will also come back burned to a crisp or missing all sorts of appendages never mind their marbles.

And i can only imagine the fate that waits in store for the mainline Russian troops engaged in the field once winter materializes given what happened to the last mob to pass that way in the previous century.

They are going to end up with another civil war on their hands should they attempt to force people to fight in Putin's war that have no wish or volition to do so.

As to people putting up a fight, well better to do so on your own territory/ground, rather than to die far away, and for the antics of Vladimir Putin or anybody else for that matter imho.

It doesn't even look like an office. There's nothing on the walls, the hallway looks like that of a deserted building.

Where's the blood. A sawn off at close range tears little bits off you and sprays them around. It even sounds like a blank cartridge.

On the stage behind whatever that counter and podium amounts to where the Man was shot springs to mind.

It even sounds like a blank cartridge.

Sounded rather real to me, same as the screams, and reaction of the people fleeing for the exit.
