Whoopi Goldberg...

It's too late for it to really make a difference, as mentioned, the Feds have read everything. So this should have been done before the FBI agents even left Casa de la Obese.

I hope he gets 10 years and NO McDonalds food delivered to his cell.

What I would really like to see is him on the stand. Sitting there in the witness box taking the fifth over and over after having constantly making the comments about only guilty people taking the fifth.

I can see his lawyer objecting to every question. But what I would really like to see is a good prosecuting attorney get under his skin like the Tom Cruise with Jack Nicholson in ''A Few Good Men'' and watch Trump blow up like Nicholson did. Yeah, I know, it was only a movie, but we can dream can't we?

Aww but you left out the part that they do not deny he had classified documents.

After repeatedly stating he himself declassified the documents in question, many in the media still lie.

If Trump declassified the documents, why did Trump's lawyers not mention that in their filing? In fact, if the documents had been declassified why does Trump's filing mention getting a special master with high enough clearance to view the documents?

If they're all declassified no clearance should be needed.

With each passing day, trump comes up with a new excuse; proving that the excuses from previous days were lies. What a clown. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if trump will still get a SS detail while serving time in federal prison?

Is he legally required to?

Why would a special master with high enough security clearance to view the documents be required if the documents are declassified?

Can declassified documents have redactions?

Do those redactions exist to shield some information from the public?

Often declassified documents just have a pen or pencil line through the words Top Secret or whatever was used on the classification. There are many, many levels of clearance. Cosmic is often thought to be the top…I have my doubts on that because there are levels that even a POTUS is not cleared for and they are said to have Cosmic.

What Trump has could be declassified but completely redacted if you or I were to be handed a copy other than the abundance of the words: and, but, or and sometimes y to indicate a day of the week.

The defense has not even approached the material because there are bigger issues that need addressed that could eliminate the material altogether without disclosing what the material is exactly. Which might not be possible due to redactions.

Can you as a fair juror say there no reasonable doubt when handed a blacked out piece of paper and are told it could either be the launch code for missile 27XR38B or it could be the recipe for New Coke from the 80’s?

Question: What security clearance does Trump have now, as a former president? I'm sure he still has some sort of clearance, if only because he might need to be consulted on the stuff he was involved with.

The thing about the special master needing security clearance could well be because Trump is still authorized to view & possess classified documents. He did have a SCIF in his home, after all.

I've seen a few people say that he had a SCIF at MAL, so you have anything to support that claim?

Even if Trump still has clearance, these documents no longer belonged to him (technically they never belonged to him in the first place). But more worrying is that classified documents were found in his personal office and living quarters and not secured in any way.

That is where the issues arise. Not that Trump may have had clearance to view the documents. But that he shouldn't have been in possession of them and that they were mishandled. These issues are further compounded by the fact that Trump and his lawyers seemingly lied to investigators in June when they were subpoenaed to turn over all documents.

And Hillary had a server in her home. Neither were legal nor authorized. Trump isn't supposed to be in possession of any of those documents, so why would he have a SKIF for them? Who oversaw the SKIF's security? Plus, some of the documents weren't found in a SKIF, they were found in his bedroom closet and in his office. The purpose of a SKIF is that the documents NEVER leave the SKIF.

and since you brought it up, what is the difference between Trump's documents and Hillary's documents?

I did read that Trump after out of office was not given access to even intelligence briefings which is normally done as a courtesy because there were concerns even when he was in office of his handling of classified info such as him taking a photo with his phone of a classified satellite image showing an explosion at a missile launchpad in Iran, or the time he told the Russian foreign minister and the Russian ambassador about a highly classified piece of intelligence about the Islamic State that came from Israel. Which outraged Israelis.

So it's doubtful he had the clearance for TS/Sci docs.

Hillary didn't have documents. Classified documents are not removed from a SKIF.

Hillary had emails, some of which discussed classified issues. But she didn't have a SKIF or classified documents laying around in her closet or office drawer, for the cleaning staff to browse through.

"A State Department spokeswoman says Hillary Clinton did not break any rules by relying solely on her personal email account. Federal law allows government officials to use personal email so long as relevant documents are preserved for history."

The law was amended in late 2014 to require that personal emails be transferred to government servers within 20 days.

But that was after Clinton left office.
