I never said there wasn't a briefing that mentioned this investigation when it started. Once again though, that was in February. Since that time, the POTUS did not be receiving daily updates on an ongoing investigation. The onus is on you to prove that the President gets daily updates on all cases the FBI is currently investigating.

It may be more than a few days. If the DOJ does find evidence that the law was broken, they're most likely going to go the grand jury route for getting an indictment.

Trump being indicted by a jury would do a lot to dispel claims that he was arrested for political reasons.

Yes. Knowing there would be political backlash, the FBI are going to play this as by-the-book as possible. The FBI agent briefing the President on any other search warrants they're executing. If they had briefed Biden, then it becomes political.

If they keep Biden out of the loop, then the FBI can claim they were just following normal procedure in executing a search warrant.

so you are saying they knew it was a political hit and kept Biden from the loop for plausible deniability? that makes more sense.

I'm saying, regardless of how justified the warrant, people would still claim it is a political hit, so the FBI were trying to do everything by the book to minimize those claims.
