The claim comes from the head of Russia's radiation, chemical and biological defence forces who also said "there will either be Russian land or a scorched desert".

He adds: "As you know, we have mined all the important facilities of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. And we do not hide it from the enemy. We warned them.

"The enemy knows that the station will be either Russian or no one's. We are ready for the consequences of this step.

"And you, warriors-liberators, must understand that we have no other way. And if there is the toughest order, we must fulfil it with honour!"

Be interesting to see how the usual suspects spin their way out of this.

It is now!

Also, maybe if Ukraine didn’t have biolabs there this wouldn’t be a problem.

I think the memory of Chernobyl is what they're playing on.

There are/were biolabs in Ukraine that Russia didn’t want that close to home. Covid anyone?

The West complains about slavery in this country being in the past, yet continually insults President Putin with comparisons to Stalin.

Russia wasn’t allowed to enter NATO because of Russia’s past?

I call bullshte

You back someone in a corner and try to infringe on their natural resources and safety and borders don’t act surprised when this is what you get!

Poor attempt to excuse Putin's invasion.

0/10. Must try harder.

If there were any "biolabs" shelling and bombing indiscriminately probably isn't a good idea.

Putin backed himself into a corner , he underestimated the resolve of the Ukrainian people to defend their country and the will of the West to stand up to his unprovoked attack on a neighboring country.

His Peter the Great fantasy got the better of him.

You call it an invasion.

I call it a preemptive strike against encroachment of evil!

Call it what you like.

I beg to differ, as most sane folk would.
