US Army Working on Developing a Tactical Bra for Female Soldiers

Speaking as a Female, and as a Military Brat, I love the idea of a "Tactical Bra".

It just has a nice ring to it.

Unfortunatelly, these designs already exist in the wild under the term "Sports Bras".

What are they going to improve on?

Making them out of Kevlar?

Steath Technology from Lockheed Martin?

Inquiring minds want to know!

What makes a Tactical Bra different than a Sports Bra?

Isn't it just silly to waste resources on something that already exists?

Our Armed Forces are weird sometimes.

Waste of money.

I am pretty sure the sports industry already has this covered. Just make it camo

Some politician's brother in law who has holdings in a clothing R&D is going to make millions though. That is what is important.

Something that Madonna wore in the 1980's comes to mind.

Stealth? Yes definitely stealth.
Some sort of "joint strike" capability as well.
Oh and each service branch will need their own same-but-different version of it.

But seriously, it'll likely be a $500 million trip to the taxpayer trough that won't produce anything.

The idea's been around a while.

Like before 2000 I think.

No telling what those boobs in the Pentagon will do. There are legitimate reasons for developing a unique line of gear and clothing for women as they take on roles formerly only done by men. Handling heat and moisture are of critical importance and even the sweat glands of women are different from men. I agree it sounds a bit out there but there may be valid reasons for it.

If you've got any boobs at all sports bras are worthless. I can't count the number of bras I've been through trying to find one that really works.

Short of laying them flat and tight against the chest wall nothing will work.

Remember we normal women have natural boobs, then you have the fake ones that will not get flat, then you have the manufactured ones for she/males.

Yep it has to be accommodations for their brand of manufactured boobs these days.

My first girlfriend had a tactical bra, it was damn near impossible to crack. I'd need a flashlight, both hands, and a damn diagram, even then the outcome was uncertain, she had to undo it 9 times out of 10.

I wanna see Jerry Nadler and Michael Moore promote these bad boys.

That alone has to be at least one horse of the apocalypse.

You do bring up some valid points.

If the fit isn't correct or moisture collects it does make them uncomfortable.

The last thing we need is solider in the field dealing with yet another issue of comfort.

It does make things more difficult if you're fighting physical sensations you can't mentally override.

I tend to overthink matters I guess, mainly because even sports bras have their issues.

Soo if the government is spending tax dollars on a bra, does that means they are going to bring tactical panties too.

I wonder, just curiosity.

I am sorry but I just have to.

The American Army is working on a better boobie trap?

Don't look at me like that. I am supprised it got this far without that being said.

I wonder how many weapons specialists are working on this project? I mean the beach volleyball testing facility should be popular with the male troops. At least some of them.

The largest size is called the MOAB (The Mother Of All Bras).

I wonder if it will get smaller due to budget cut's.

Sorry could not resist and laughing like a teenager at this, Infolurker is spot on, just a sport's bra but one that will be classed as standard issue uniform so?, probably one inferior to what the lady's can probably buy themselves.

Just when I thought the whole “Tactical” fad was wearing off, this comes out. Great. It used to be when they put the “Tactical” word in the name of a product it sold like hot cakes to the “Geardos”. Heck you could sell “Tactical toilet paper holders” and make a fortune
