Hard to believe this month has flown right by. At least everyone still has time to make up a Short Story (or two) before the closing of the Contest. So come on folks, we could really use some of those creative ideas forming in your mind.

Pareidolia... What a Concept!.

Interesting what folks see, I was oblivious to that and all I saw was my attempt to stay within the lightning theme, so I saw bolts of Lightning.

But appreciate you pointing that out to me.. as I didn't see that.

Hello my friends. My apologies for having disappeared for the whole month. I’ve read all the stories submitted so far and the quality and range is outstanding. They all merit a second reading and I will vote and comment soon.



It’s been a busy period and some domestic and work shenanigans stifled my creativity. Even if it was my theme, I didn’t have a clue what to write. It took me 10 days to sketch out an idea and then I was stuck for two weeks on the first paragraph. However, last night the dam broke or my muse came back from vacation and I put it all together… it was meant to be longer and more dramatic, but it will have to do. I’m happy to have honoured my own theme in some way.

Well Folks, that's all she wrote for this Contest of Short Stories.

Now comes the most important role we need to do now, which is VOTE! So please... READ.. STAR.. & FLAG your favorite story. And you might find it a bit hard as we really had some good tales. Were going to give you one week starting on this day, the 1st of September and will run through the 7th.

What a wonderful contest this has been. Really unique and creative stories. I'm sorry that I didn't rise to the occasion and contribute, but I've very much enjoyed the contributions.
