I first saw this tweet, a video from the front door ring device earlier today. Three ATF officers knock on this guy's door w receipts for his gun purchases. They ask to see the guns. W/O a warrant. "Do you have them w you by any chance?" The officer says, "can we see them and then we're outta here..."

twitter.com...

Here's a youtube report if you are unable to see the twitter feed. Apparently, this took place in Delaware on July 17, 2022.

They asked and implied they'd leave. Maybe just comparing on a case.

They said let's see, we got the receipts and we'll leave.

This is not unusal. And...he did not have to comply either.

They knew they didn't hv a warrant. Don't need 1 if you agree.

I prob would by what they said.

Additional post: They already have every bit of all my info w permits as well. To ask to SEE it? Dunno...but I'd prob comply..after asking "Ummm...why?"

I mean it's not unusual.*warrants the best way...but...

did you not hear them say they came because he bought two guns at the same time and it generated a multiple gun sales report.

that there is tracking people for no apparent reason other than they bought two or more guns at a time.
unless there is some other reason, it's not the Federal Government's business what or how much i buy.

the constant checking on everybody for doing something they deem suspicious for no other reason than that is not freedom.

I've purchased two identical handguns from the same place at the same time. The amount of hassle they gave me was unbelievable, and they made me do all the forms twice, AND charged me their fee twice.
After all that if the government came knocking, I'd be even more angry.
They're not even supposed to be tracking sales, because registration leads to the government knocking at your door... Asking to "see"

Huh. I never answer the front door unless there is a FedEx or UPS truck in the drive. Otherwise, I'm wholly uninterested in what they are knocking for. Family, friends and neighbors know which door I'll answer.

The third says no soldiers in my home, do I have to put up a couple soldiers for the night and then you’ll leave?

I own many, licensed since '75. I understand. But, they knew as much comin up they really needed a warrant...otherwise? Evidence obtained illegally...they took a wild chance.

I only mean: They asked, knew you could slam that door, kinda said "n we'll leave"...I may have just laughed.

By the By: Make no mistake about us carriers.

Warrant. Warrant. Warrant. Warrant. Warrant. Warrant. Or basically? Slam!

They have no probable cause

What they were trying to do was get the homeowner to consent to the search

Should tell them to pound sand and that be hearing from my lawyer ..........

My first base 25 years ago one of the guys worked part time in a gun store.

He said the ATF would routinely try to get every since purchaser's information, sometimes they would have a warrant for 1 but still try and brow beat the owner into handing everything over. Apparently back then that owner was a vietnam vet with an axe to grind against the fed and he routinely told them to pound sand, no warrant no info, no get off my property.

If this happens call your local sheriff's office.

As long as you don't live in a commie hell hole, they will likely come and run them off for you.

If these school/mass shootings continue, It will be deemed a homeland security/patriot act event and don't need no stinkin warrant.

Smells like treason,
Didn't Biden say to shoot both barrels through the door?
