I think this is odd.
they say the jet stream brings the heat. wind.
but when the Sun hits me UK it is like a oven.
did they stop spraying chem trails?
or a hole in the ozone?
I think the chem trails are to block the sun.
not to just posion us.

Yes. Hot air, not Sun was my point. Bloody hot here in darkest Wiltshire, and about 25C during tonight, apparently.

I would keep a damp cloth handy (maybe dip it in ice water) to keep yourself cool at night. The back of the head/neck and forehead wetting does it for me.

Good luck.

What about a fan in front of an open bar fridge in the bedroom? Has anyone tried this?

Bowl of iced water in front of fan.

Fridge is for beer, and Prosecco (for the ladies).

It got to 33c here in the North East today, proper hot.
Supposed to around 38c tomorrow.

My tomato and chilli plants are loving it.....me and the wife not so much.

I was going to go to the pub for a 'couple' of dustbusters but I don't trust myself.....
Froze a bottle of water and placed it on a tray in front of a fan....seemed to work a treat.

Naga chilli's loving it here.

Will try frozen bottle thing.

Top tips:

1. Spray pint glass with water. Put in freezer with bottle of Mythos (other beers are available) until glass is frosty and beer is too.

Take out and enjoy. Repeat often.

2. If you have a paved or gravelled whatever outdoor seating area, water ground with hose. As water evaporates is cooling effect.

3. Repeat 1 above. Often.

36 this afternoon in North Wales-Hottest day on record.
Hotter than freaking Dubai.
Zero breeze making it harder too.
Nearly died trying to be neighborly by smoking in my shed knowing next door neighbors are old and have post covid coughing fits-they were in the garden downwind.

I could literaly feel my brain swelling up in the heat-so smoke fast(!) and get out quick..just managed to get under the tap as the black tunnel vision was closing in.Serves me right for being a nicotine slave i suppose.

Hotter tomorrow they say.
great

Ordered some comfrey "tea" plant food for nagas. Came in used coke bottles. Highly recommended. If you like opening them and getting sprayed with what smells like fermented poo, that is.

Mind you, I have some carp bait boilies " Scent from Hell".

You just can't imagine the smell.

I've heard that's supposed to be good.
Never tried it.....only my second year growing them.
Love them.

They like liquid seaweed feed.

That was a Carpy thing. Monster Crab boilies (Carp baits) smell disgusting and have probably been responsible for a lot of divorces.

These things, are 10 x more stinky.

I got 15 hook baits, came in five layers of plastic sealed bags. You could smell them through those.

Carp fishermen never die. They just smell that way.
