I do not disagree. But it is in his (and the countries') best interest to try to help avoid a strike which would do even more damage to the economy.

This still is not resolved. Shooterbrody mentioned delaying the vote until after mid terms earlier in this thread on page 2. He appears to be right. The rank and file are still talking about striking. One crew member confided that he wished they would have got the strike over with already. Another crew member said that the vote and results would happen after the mid terms. Then they would have another 30 day cooling off period. So if they go on strike, it will happen during the Christmas season. The democrats do not want the impact from a strike to be seen before mid terms.

The comments from above are first person accounts so there are no links to "official" media accounts. Time will tell if their worries actually happen.

Thanks for the update.

No problem. The issue seemed to be forgotten about, but it's not over yet.

You're welcome. The way it sounded was that the contract was about to be approved. It is really being drawn out though. They were just kicking the can down the road.

The delays proves that this union doesn’t represent the workers but instead exists solely to benefit the DNC.

Trash-tier union. Unions should have no loyalty to a party.

Joe Biden bragged about how his negotiating skill averted a major nationwide railroad strike last month.

The only problem is that Biden-brokered "deal" was rejected today by a Union.

The threat of a strike before the holidays is back on.

A rail strike is still a possibility. As holidays near, a nationwide rail strike is still on the table. Here's the latest

We could find out if there will be a strike by Monday.

On Monday, we'll find out whether the two largest rail unions have approved or rejected the proposed five-year deal.

Of course it is!

We agreed it was a optical win and a bandaid.

It's of no small consequence that Amazon is also laying off 10000 employees.

At this time of year no less

America faces a possible rail strike in two weeks after largest union rejects labor deal

all 12 rail unions have now completed their ratification process, with members of eight of the unions voting in favor of deals and four voting against it. The four unions that have voted no will remain on the job until at least early next month while negotiations are held to try to avoid a strike that could cause widespread disruptions in the nation’s still struggling supply chain and overall economy.

Even though 4 of 12 unions voted against it, they will all strike in support of eachother. Things are going to hell in a hand basket quickly.

Imo
It was always the administration’s intent to get this past the election.

It is clear the current dictator cares little about average Americans daily challenges.

President Joe Biden on Monday asked Congress to pass legislation to reach an agreement between railroad workers and management after he failed to reach an agreement.

Joe Biden Punts Looming Rail Strike to Congress After Failure to Reach a Deal

President Biden says he supports unions but is trying to get congress to force this deal upon union members. The forced deal takes away the union's biggest weapon, the strike.
