the real ones are made in USA in English.

The problem that I have is that too many of them are made by English speaking Americans. They wheel out products or tools that I can't buy here, or which are difficult to find where I am.

Oh, and they just roll down to their local lumber yard to buy about $500 worth of hardwoods that would cost about $3000 here.

Consider this:

When speaking of India, think "population density" and utter poverty.

People there are DESPERATE AND MOTIVATED to rise above it all and are willing to go to great lengths to achieve their goals.
America is too decadent and socialized to understand this concept.

It's about subs and views as it pertains to YouTube. So you click on the video and it's unintelligible.....but so what, you just gave them another view.

Hustle, hustle, hustle is their main SOP. They have entire corporate buildings filled with call centers dedicated to scamming people 24/7 - 365.

I found this website that claims to sell guns, looks legit, and I KNOW for a FACT it a complete scam site from India. I reported it to everyone, even the ATF and it's still up and running:
outdoorarmshop.com...-widget

Watch yourselves out there, everyone and everything is game.

Here's a typical instruction setup that has good video but bad narrator that just mumbles a lot. If your looking to set something up either old or new you get these types. 0nmtPq--C98 for most setups of game machines.

Here's a tutorial for something really old but done right actually.
or
yet a lot of other instruction videos tend to be like the first link. PCEM seems to attract a different kind of crowd.

For some reason the Windows 95 wone won't show up at all!
I'll try it again.

Sorry for the two blank ones. I cannot get them to show up. I apologize. I wonder if it has to do with how many seconds the video is in?

Maybe unintelligible to 300 million Americans but intelligible to 1, 200 million Indians...

When using the button to embed YouTube videos we cannot use the time parameter, we have to use only the video ID.

For a specific time post only a link: Video

There are plenty of online tutorials for various subjects on YT you could be there for a VERY long time learning stuff but the biggest hurdle is almost 99 percent of them are India out of all places and barely speak English many do not at all and use a 'phone' screen which furthermore doesn't translate well on a PC so you barely can see what he intends to show you.

Any of you encounter this flood of non english channels? I almost NEVER see an American do a documentary though I see British sometimes and India people a lot do stuff but for some reason Americans from the USA are absent online unless they post stupid comments that look like they were drunk out of their skull.

Civilized Indian 1st world people are very techy (beware of the larger 3rd world sector) and theres a billion of them and they are in attitude and ettiquette and morality closer to European than other Asian countries so it makes sense that so many of them are making tech tutorials in English as the English also call themselves Tudors so Im sure theres a connection there. Dont quote me on that I just guessing.

Yes, even yesterday, the best video I could find on how to replace the specific type of shower/tap selector my shower has from some Russian guy.

But you can find several useless "unboxing" videos...

Answering the question in the thread's title: Because there are many more people that speak English as a second or third language than native English speakers.
India has English as one of their official languages and an estimated population of 1,352,642,280 for 2018.
Compare that with the population of the US (331,893,745), Canada (38,654,738) and the UK (67,326,569), for example, and you will see that it's only of third of India's population.
Now add all other countries with people that can speak English as a second language and you will see that the rest of the World is much bigger than the native English speaking World.

PS: It's useful to learn a second or third language.

try to find one on how to fix a rickshaw!

Cheeky, but that's not my point.

I suppose your point is accusing them of wanting views, like almost everybody else on YouTube.

Because America is becoming a nation of morons.

People who know nothing their phones don't tell them.

I would not take educational advice from morons.

That's why.

I see you've never worked with a remote developer from India lol. Explaining to your product manager why the remote team is taking 2 months for a simple SQL query

It's probably due to your viewing history, I don't get anything remotely like this.
Yes it must have something to do with the viewing history. I can certainly find such broken english channels but usually I get people who can speak English rather well. Sometimes they may be immigrants to an english speaking country and still have an accent from their native language.

What really frustrated me in contacting tech support for computer stuff was getting people in India who are trained to ask questions from a scripted flowchart of stuff I've already tried, you know, "did you try rebooting the computer?" type stuff. I typically knew way more than the tech support folks who were trying to "help" me. They could speak some English though, like this group of Indians who are getting their tech support training in English (It's a joke, but not that far from the truth in my experience, in terms of tech support from people who can only read from scripts):

Microsoft Tech support - INDIAN KIDS LEARN ENGLISH compilation

Then the company I worked for got a support contract for our computers that allowed us to get real tech support reps who actually knew something and could actually help, and perhaps coincidentally (or not) they weren't from India and speaking broken English. That was nice, but I guess we were paying a premium for that and were agreeing to buy all our company computers from that company.

I've also encountered some youtube videos from producers who must know their English is broken or too heavily accented, and they don't even attempt to speak but instead use some variation the AI voice generator like Stephen Hawking used, maybe something along the lines of these:

Best 8 AI Voice Generators That Will Save Your Day

Those can be a bit annoying, but are at least intelligible, unlike some really, really thick accents. Those channels never seem to rack up huge numbers of views though, so don't seem to get very high in the youtube algorithm.
