So, the UN published an article which has been found again which is raising questions. Why would they publish such a thing. The UN is not the onion, they do not post satire. It appears the article went viral and the UN tried to cover their tracks by deleting it.

Luckily the University of Hawaii has it on PDF for download, at least for now.

www.opindia.com...

An article published by the United Nations hailing the benefits of hunger has gone viral on social media today, with netizens expressing shock over the claims made in the article titled “The Benefits of World Hunger”. Written by retired Hawaiian professor George Kent, the article explains how hunger is needed to get workers for low-level manual jobs. It was published on UN Chronicle, the flagship magazine of the UN.

The article argues that people work to fight hunger, and if there is no hunger, there will be nobody to do the manual jobs.

He termed the notion that people should be fed well to make them more productive ‘nosense’, saying that “No one works harder than hungry people.”

The article caused great outrage on social media across the world, with common netizens and well-known people slamming it for glorifying hunger for the benefits of the rich.

Commenter: I THINK this is meant to be satirical??? — but not sure why the UN would be getting into the parody business?

We sometimes talk about hunger in the world as if it were a scourge that all of us want to see abolished, viewing it as comparable with the plague or AIDS. But that naive view prevents us from coming to grips with what causes and sustains hunger.

Hunger has great positive value to many people. Indeed, it is fundamental to the working of the world's economy. Hungry people are the most productive people, especially where there is a need for manual labour.

For those of us at the high end of the social ladder, ending hunger globally would be a disaster. If there were no hunger in the world, who would plow the fields? Who would harvest our vegetables? Who would work in the rendering plants? Who would clean our toilets? We would have to produce our own food and clean our own toilets. No wonder people at the high end are not rushing to solve the hunger problem. For many of
us, hunger is not a problem, but an asset.

UN Deletes Article Touting ‘Benefits’ of World Hunger: ‘Hungry People Are the Most Productive People’

An article appearing on the United Nations Chronicle website as recently as Wednesday that touted the “benefits of world hunger” has seemingly been taken down.

A link to the article, which now takes visitors to an error page.

It was archived before it was apparently scrubbed from the website by the agency on Thursday

The UN has not commented on the matter.

There is some suspicion that it might be a satire. But if so, it would be the first and only satire written by this author or published in the UN magazine.

I'd say I'd love to kick these pompous asshats in the pubic bone til pigs grow wings & fly, but I can't.
Their heads are up their butts clear to the shoulders, thus the pubic bone is shielded.

The back works for a dropkick target as a secondary option, though.

Let me put it another way.

Mass migration is their weapon against stable countries.

Sated people do not need to cross borders to find food and work.

People want to work and be productive.

Lastly, people who live a good life, think 70s and 80s just want to enjoy their lives.

Can't have that can we.

What he said in the article is true and all the people not working in the US proves it.

An uncomfortable truth.

I'm not sure it's satire so much as using the word hungry to describe a work ethic instead of a food deprived condition.

I know a guy who got a 20% raise this year while the rest of our company averaged around 2% - because he's hard working and dedicated and all that, but more importantly to his bottom line he's "hungry"- willing to leave for a better deal, and willing to work harder for it.
He's young and doesn't fully appreciate what he has, and best I can tell his spouse can ride him through the hard times he risks, though, so he might do well.

He considers himself "hungry", and I think it *is* good- it causes him to push for that extra mile and really improve the economy.

Of course that's a tale as old as time, so many of us were that kind of hungry in our twenties.
Once you get comfortable, you're not hungry- and why work harder when you're in your 40's, with a worn out back and knees... When you can just enjoy life and get what you need?

Having said that, we're on the tail end of this fiat cycle, and I'm not feeling like working all that hard just to watch it all fall apart anyway.
Unless we see the massive depopulation the rich actually want, there's no happy ending for hungry workers in this economy.

People these days waste so much food and buy things they really don't need. That is causing a lot of problems with our environment, so I can see making people respect the food they eat by creating hunger is a good thing. I know a lot of people who will almost starve themselves or eat low quality highly prepared garbage that is cheap just so they have money to buy things or do things they want but do not need. This is causing a lot of health issues....in the end, their need for medicines and healthcare is causing them financial problems and many people cannot afford the copays or deductibles on insurance because of skyrocketing healthcare costs to insurance companies.

There is a lot more to this than most people can comprehend. Money is flowing out of the middle class to the big importers of stuff and to the medical industry all because people are entitles and want things they do not need and want to have everything done for them.

So there is some truth to what the UN has stated, but their method of action is just putting all of the money into the hands of the rich...bringing the middle class down to the low class which ninety five percent of Americans will be in since inflation will gobble everyone's money up who has it. The people who are in the think tanks are pretty good but the politicians are messing everything up. Politicians are not the sharpest people, they can screw up a good idea and make it create the opposite effect.

The US is not the only country where people have got spoiled, I can see it happening in many countries of the west. This will be the wests downfall, since the people running things are mostly spoiled and entitled beyond belief.

They are purposely trying to create food shortages and fuel shortages in my opinion, but their logic is messed up....people won't be able to afford to go to work and they will just go on assistance which will cause a severe deterioration of the value of countries wealth.

Not all people are doped up on meds that make them not be able to see what is going on. Not all people are dumb, and the corruptive policies of the heads of governments can even be seen by people who are not that intelligent because these politicians believe that anyone will believe their lies because they were trained to deceive the masses.

They clearly mention Food. Hungry means we need to eat.

It is mainly because people need food
to survive that they work so hard either in producing food
for themselves in subsistence-level production, or by selling
their services to others in exchange for money. How many
of us would sell our services if it were not for the threat of
hunger?

More importantly, how many of us would sell our services
so cheaply if it were nor for the threat of hunger?

It's a tenet of socialism that you don't endeavor to own the factory unless you also intend to eliminate the market, aka federalized industry.

I don't really think hunger is the key issue here. People will still work hard if they get paid well, because we like to buy a lot more than just food. It would be more accurate to say people who are given everything they need for free will be much less motivated to work, especially in menial labor jobs. And that's one of the core issues with the utopian socialist vision we are presented by many on the left.

How are we going to provide all that free stuff if no one is working? We certainly don't have the technology to replace all human jobs. The elite understand this fact, they know if everyone is wealthy and happy, there wont be anyone to clean their toilet and mow their lawn, and god forbid they do those menial tasks themselves. So they created a debt based money system which ensures the majority stay poor.

I'm convinced they really do want the world in a perpetual state of poverty and crisis, partly because they want people to do any job for any wage, and partly because they don't want every country in the world developing into a 1st world nation which consumes a large amount of resources to support their high standard of living. In a way they probably think they are the morally superior ones for "saving the planet".

I find it ironic that many far-left globalists claim to support socialism and equality, but they are often the very same people saying we should own nothing and be happy. It's the same rich people who want to reset the entire economy. Ask yourself, why would the richest globalists on Earth want a great reset, why would they want to give up all their power and wealth? The answer is they wont give it up.

The masses will give up everything while those with true power keep that power, and they rule society from up in their ivory towers, like every single communist power hierarchy in history. They clearly want an authoritarian government like the Chinese government but on a global scale. And by ruining the global economy, they have their excuse to "reset" everything, people will even want it if things get bad enough.

As I've said many times before, the only way to escape this endless cycle of misery is to have a fair currency, one which cannot be endlessly debased by the government. If we cannot achieve that, we will always have a system where prices constantly increase, but wages do not always keep up. It will always reach a breaking point, and when that happens it's time for a reset to ensure the rigged game can continue.

God damn snowflakes, how can people be so offended by this? And who thinks it's a satire? The author is just observing the human condition.

Reads like a candid discussion on how some live with the hunger situation. With piracy and the slave trade on the decline, need something to round up a large work force for some project. With the state of weather warfare these days there is an opportunity to exploit a population. Maybe just need to watch the weather maps to find a weaker population to recruit some $1 a day staff.

As for being practical, its a cheep work force if you can find it. As for how a large society responds when the store shelves go empty, some estimate about 3 days before the shooing starts. While we can survive a couple of months without food, energy levels and productivity drops significantly within days.

Hunger is a form of pain, as with all pain it is a strong message that something is not right. There is some good pain that does make us stronger and more capable. There is also some bad pain where all you can do is stay off that busted part until it heals. It can be tough distinguishing between the two at time, do we get stronger or do we become more damaged?

As for how these globalists types are suppose to spread civilization, economic means is what motivates them. I know pain sucks, but it is a reality we all have to live with. The pain the UN felt in withdrawing this publication does highlight a weak spot in this system.

It certainly reads like satire and probably well intentioned in the outrage it was no doubt expected to garner.

But unless the UN follow this up with a serious attempt to reveal those real world entities actually operating with this philosophy, then it’s little more than click bait.

But of course if they do follow it up it’ll be prejudiced to target those that don’t gift the UN dominion, while turning a blind eye to those nestled under their NWO umbrella.

Btw, we absolutely need a ‘new world order’, just not the one focused on micromanaged control of its cattle that the NWO movement want for us.
