So I've been an ATS enthusiast for many years. As far as the media goes, I frequently check the surface (mainstream media), for no other reason than to see what the information cartels are trying to shove down our throats. I'm 40 years old and have lived my whole life watching the internet go from dial up modems using AOL cds with free hours on them to visit chatrooms and watch videos, to this...100% of every hour of every day high speed instant access in your pocket basically every where in the world. From "9/11 was an inside job" to transvestites wearing lingerie twerking on stage at school assembly, and all those years in between the internet has never let me down. I learned almost everything I know from the internet, and even if I learned it offline, chances are I've fact checked it or looked up pro tips after the fact. I believe in God more deeply having seen and read things I never would have had access to without the world wide web. Things like Electron Microscopy, which I never would even I glimpse of in real life, are broadcast in thousands of ways by thousands of people and indexed by Google for my phone, computer, tablet, watch, TV, Playstation... wherever I am there's a way. I've read more of the Bible online than on paper. I downloaded a copy of the anarchists cookbook in line 1998. The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Chicago Tribune are all delivered, as if on bulletin boards, to my eyes everyday as they are printed and every article stored in a library of infinite shelves for review on demand. I can DIY pretty much anything on earth, minus things like nuclear power and nano particles, and for what I can't craft myself, 3D Printing fills in the gaps. I've seen the stars in all their glory glistening and pulsing and shooting and exploding through telescopes that cost someone else millions of dollars. I can see the faces and hear the voices of every official in my government, and contact any one of them directly. I've seen every state of the human condition. From the moment that one in the millions of sperm breaches the egg, to the atrocities of war and murder perpetrated by truly psychopathic humans against one another. I learned how to refine and improve my memory to store as many things as I can offline, and learned how to learn better with platforms like YouTube airing free seminars and conventions. I've saved pets I loved with at home veterinary care. And there is even parts of the internet I created and shared...with photos and videos and posts I've uploaded over the past 25 years across thousands upon thousands of websites and forums. I am a modern human and fully acclimated myself to this technological age along with it. I know I'm grateful. I know it. But there is something I know it has taken from me. I suffer from severe depression at times and have, since childhood, periodically had breakdowns and suicide attempts and have hurt myself dozens of times because I just couldn't get my state of mind out of the pits of hell it sometimes gets stuck in. Sometimes I drown in the tsunami of all the awful things happening to the people places and things on this planet. Every time it was offered I would take the red pill. 100 out of 100 times. But there's a sad human being inside me that reminds me constantly just how of of alignment we are with every other form of life we know about. I'll be just putting on my clothes for work and get struck by the mental image of our elected officials making payments to Epstein for access to his child rape retreat. The moment I wake up I know at any moment my thoughts could slip and fall and land on the images of the Texas coastal refining complexes and their smokestacks which release hundreds of millions of cubic feet of lethal chemical waste into the air. For every pound of love I have for the internet there is an ounce of murderous hate. As I make this post, I'm on a smoke break from the worst, lowest paying job I've ever had frying chicken at a popeyes in a backwoods southern town. I feel as a human I'm operating at less than 1% of my potential. So without very much self esteem and very few resources I'm going to try to get some semblance of intellectual experience in my life here. I love all of you and am so grateful to be able to engage. I hope over time maybe to find like minded individuals to talk to. As it sits I have 1 friend... my wife... and I think she secretly hates me.

Some one is now marketing fingernail polish that looks like you have dipped your fingers in a bowl of Velveeta cheese.
www.foodandwine.com...

KFC is now promoting a new eating utensil the call a ''finger-spork'' which you stick your finger into and use it to eat your KFC with. Both of those speak to me of how out of alignment we are. Both are promoted in a belief that consumers will make those products profitable.
global.kfc.com...

And oh to repeat Themaskedbeast, if you use paragraphs, it demonstrates that you want to discuss an not just post.

Hi There " Somedumbum ", and welcome to the Introductions Forum, a place to say hello to the ATS community!

For now, you can reply to any thread in any of the forums of your choosing, as well as send & receive Private Messages (PM's) to Staff (only for now). Once you have achieved 5 posts, you will then be able to start your own threads and additionally send & receive messages to and from fellow ATS members.

Here's some handy links, important must read links (and more links).

Terms & Conditions Of Use (Please read, we take these very seriously and so should you!).

Start Here - ATS Freshmans Forum A cornocopia of almost every thing a new ATS Freshman would want under one roof.

Hey new members!! Come here if you need advice This section includes how to Contact Staff, make Alerts and help maintain the ATS Discussion Etiquette.

Starting a New Thread ?... Look Here First
Great information as we want your thread to get the visibility it deserves, so make sure you've got great content backed-up with links (so we can see it for ourselves), and then add your thoughts on the subject matter.

IMPORTANT: Using Content From Other Websites on ATS. Before you link a website in your post or thread, please read this.

How to upload an avatar/profile picture with instructions and so much more .

Uploading Pictures unto Post-2013 ATS, Serving up member's pictures and snapshots since the retooling of ATS back in 2013, and here's a little secret on your Picture uploads. Always make sure they 'end' with one of these three formats; jpg, gif, png... (a jpeg needs to be changed to .jpg to be accepted as only 3 letter formats are accepted).

Take your time and enjoy, ATS is a pretty large place

There's a lot of great spots to explore and share your comments in. Being this large it's safe to say that not everyone is going to agree with what you might say. And actually that's a good thing as this allows all voices, theories and ideas to come out for discussion.

But be aware that sometimes, people's conviction's can get the better of them and they might attack the person and not the subject being discussed. This is when the T&C's are your friend and on your side. Please notify us of 'their offense' immediately by using the complaint/alert feature. To report an offense, find the little "top-torso-person silhouette" to 'click-on' in their avatar/meme area, make sure the post that your wanting to alert us about is where you click 'that alert' from. These reports are reviewed by staff as we take all complaints and Alerts seriously.

Some areas will require a thicker-skin for discussion and debating and they can get rather heated (in certain arenas). Other areas require you having an open-mind and a need to consider thoughts and theories that don't fit the 'norm'. If you like to tip-toe in to darker areas, you'll find 'like-minded' and curious members that are also into UFO's, the Paranormal, Cryptids and Conspiracies.

There's also places to just chill and cool-down from all the craziness and frustrations of this wild world. Whether it's showing off your artwork in Member Art, or sharing a piece of music you like or created in the Music forum. Maybe you'd like to toss in your "2 Cents" in the General Chit Chat forum.

If you like to read (and compose) good stories, there's a few places for the "mighty fine creative minds" of ATS to hang out at.... including one my favorites the "Short Stories" forum.

And finally... remember these words as "you" are responsible for "your" posts, so please..... " Post unto others as you would have them post unto you!! "

Johnny Anonymous,
Staff-Moderator.
