I wonder, what have we here . . .
The pond in my garden has three strange visitors today.

At first glance young women they seem to be.
Fairies? Wood-nymphs if I am not mistaken.

Three pairs of dragonfly wings, and modest of breast.
Their countenances, I can never really tell,
if dragonfly or human.

Oh no, I have been caught! How mortifying!
It isn't my fault they are naked!

My neighbours, heaven forbid, should they see,
three mischievous fairies in my garden.

On my leaving and return,
three naked butts waving at me.

Now I am in trouble, with my ghosts.
