We live in a clown world.

Coffee cups needs a warning about hot drink. Duh!

You cannot dry your chihuahua in the microwave, there are idiots on this planet who did this. While common sense states that is not a good idea. Now it's in the manual.

We need boards on the floor telling us the floor is wet. Are you blind?

Now we need a warning for STD's on the front seat of the car. Don't forget the back seat lol.

I wished I was born in the USA, I would prosecute the sh#t out of everything, eventually some money will stick. Only in the USA. Hahahahaaaa.

Technically, if you drop your car off for repairs and the shop is broken into and the burglar has sex in your vehicle and gives someone an STD your insurance is somehow responsible.

I was joking, but you knew that. It's just so far out there that it becomes laughable.

I think karma is real and eventually you will pay and karma sh#t happens.

You should maybe google that story. It wasn't 'boohoo some slightly hot coffee spilled into my lap, let's sue.'

The woman was 79 years old and the coffee was scalding hot. It left her with quite serious 3rd degree burns, not that such burns are anything but serious. The coffee was unnecessarily hot.
Don't recommend looking up photo's of her injuries unless you have a strong stomach.

16% of her body, including her genitals were severely burned. McDonalds had loads of complaints about the temperature being dangerous before this happened and they chose to ignore it.
Even after this, here in Australia at least their coffee was still this stupidly hot. I've never been anywhere that serves a hot coffee even close to McDonald's temperature.

I've spilled other companies and even my own freshly made at home coffee's on myself over the years and while it stung in the moment, I was never let with burns, let alone 3rd degree ones.

Sorry just like to point this out when people mention the Coffee case because it's often incorrectly presented as the prime example of 'a Karen doing frivolous suing for an easy buck' when it's very far from the reality of the matter.

Myth: This was a case of a greedy claimant looking for a deep pocket.

Reality: Mrs. Liebeck spent six months attempting to convince McDonald's to pay $15,000 to $20,000 to cover her medical expenses. McDonald's responded with a letter offering $800. Mrs. Liebeck also asked McDonald's to consider changing the excessive temperature of its coffee so others would not be similarly harmed.

Myth: McDonald's was unfairly punished for serving hot coffee because everyone knows that hot coffee can cause burns.

Reality: People did not realize how seriously they could be burned. All McDonald's restaurants served coffee between 180 and 190 degrees. At this temperature, spilled coffee causes third degree burns in less than three seconds. Other restaurants served coffee at 160 degrees, which takes twenty seconds to cause third degree burns. That is usually enough time to wipe away the coffee.

Liebeck v. McDonald’s The Hot Coffee Case

The hot coffee case imho is a prime example of why suing needs to exist. Hell she asked for waaaaay less money than Macca's ended up having to pay out. She pretty much only wanted Mcdonalds to pay her medical bills.

So yeah, maybe not the best example you could be using to make your point.
