Achieving détente on Gun Control Policy will require a unification of our collective will

The knee-jerk response is never the correct one in my experience. Achieving any sort of détente in the Gun Control policy debate will require a real unification of our collective political will. That means of course all 3 components of the mind/will of the people must be satisfied. This means the Head - Heart - Gut parts of the mind must all be addressed and satisfied. The 3 parts are in order based on a person standing upright against gravity from the top down.

Heart
Gut

The head/mind is the one we believe does all our thinking for us.
The heart/mind is the one we often wish did our thinking for us.
The gut/mind is the one that we let direct our thinking in times of life threat.

I am informed on this subject matter having given the 3 input thought sources considerations simultaneously for a change. I have studied pretty much every field of philosophy, law, and thinking I can find in this matter. I am pretty sure I read this someplace in the past but I have not found the source. If someone is aware of the philosophy that covers this please inform me so I can include that reference.

It is fairly self-explanatory but I will elaborate on each part of this as best I can.

Head Mind. We need the government to help us order and maintain society.
Heart Mind. We need to protect our children to have a society to maintain.
Gut Mind. We have to protect ourselves from predation by those who seek to control or govern us.

Any legal remedy that does not consider these 3 mind input sources will never work in my opinion.

Not gonna happen.

First, detente is defined as:

the easing of tensions or strained relations (especially between nations), as by agreement, negotiation, or tacit understandings.

"Gun control" is not about guns; it is about control. And those who harbor an interest in promoting it have no interest in easing tensions or stained relations. In fact, tension and stained relations are exactly what they want. As far as they are concerned, there will be no "agreement, negotiation, or tacit understandings." There will be unconstitutional law throughout the land and they will rule.

Certainly there are some useful idiots who actually believe the palaver about it being for the children. But it's not.

I live in a very fun controlled country (Mexico). It is difficult to legally own a gun here. Go check out homicide rate here. See how that's worked out for us here.

So Gut leading mind-directed policy in your opinion? I get that. It is likely the wisest of the mental components of our collective will with regard to gun control policy since as you say it is largely about control which is immediately resisted by our gut reaction. We are informed by our gut/mind that we ignore it at our own peril and that is likely the gut/mind is the primary part leading the debate since it is just wrong at the gut level to ignore this input in our consideration of this issue.

Why not focus on violent criminals and the criminally insane so responsible none murderous people can lawfully own guns under the second amendment.

Using your logic we should shutdown the internet because it would help stop child pornography.

Is not such thing as gun control, is always been about controlling citizens in the US, crapping on the second amendment, always pursue by the communist democrats.

The criminals will always get their guns, without licenses or registrations and back ground checks, the losers are the law abided citizens as usual, they pay the taxes, they pay for permits and have to give their personal information the the government to be tracked.

Rat hell holes democrats states are the ones with the most crime by gun and nobody does anything to stop the killing because the media goes blind.

Gun control will not stop the killing in democrats states.

No matter how you describe it, all this gun talk is advertising guns.

More people are getting concerned about the need to protect themselves and are therefore buying more guns. Some for the first time for protection, some before they have a problem getting them legally.

Yep that is true, I can not way to see the sell of guns for the coming months and specially the ammo.

America will never give away their guns, never.

the people just dont care enough about gun control to truly push on the issue, if its not effecting them directly it might as well not be real, sure some will be roused to emotion and say things or protest but most will just forget it and move on until the next wave of news.

and why should we give murderers victory over us, to make ourselves suffer because some random nobody seems foolish and short sighted no matter how one might feel about the issue.

We have 20k gun laws on the books... think about that.

Mass shooting used to be considered rare till the early '90s, what changed that damaged us so badly mentally that so many think its a good idea to do this? Maybe answer that question and try to fix it you can actually fix the problem rather than slap a band aid on a sucking chest wound.

Everybody has a gun many to most carry a gun, depending on where you look we have had 1 or 2 mass shootings, whats different in alaska?

Problem with burning bridges is people like that the chasm keeps the bridge burner from coming back.

Interestingly mass shootings seems to follow Democrats when they are in power, top 10 cities where most mass shootings happens are actually run by, yep democrats.

Have they care enough to fix their own hell hole states problems? nope, no, nada, do not be fooled democrats love when shootings happens in schools, is good for the political business.
